checked reverse directory of the robo number and message was Invalid Number. So, if this is Blue Cross, why are they giving out an invalid call back number?????

I received same robot claiming to be with Anthem Blue Cross.

Given the amount of scamming going on in the USA I'm not more inclined to believe a robo scammer over person.

Nor, US Postal Mail as all can contain spam, scams, id theft, etc -- perhaps if I searched on this number and was lead to a legitimate website owned by Anthem Blue Cross I would interact with robo caller.

But not now not today not ever. Fool me once Fool me twice.

Got a robot call from this number asking to call back. The female robot said it was calling to get information. On calling the number back a robot answered asking for our insurance id numbers . I gave our insurance id number, but when the robot asked for birthdays I stopped to wonder. I thought, "Why would a robot call from my insurance company want me to give all this private information first before it told me what the call was about? I hung up.

I called a Blue Cross number we knew to be legitimate. The service person told me the number was legitimate. I just said, "So the number is legitimate?" and she repeated yes. I said no more since she didn't offer any more information, which I thought she should have without my having to ask. In any case, my thought was that it was a very inappropriate way to call. If Blue Cross has something to say or ask, let them send it by mail. If it's a survey, then I don't want the survey company to have our information. If they are Blue Cross, they already have our information, at least the Blue Cross department that we have legitimate business with. Anybody else, survey-takers, 3d party companies, etc., we don't care about if they must ask us to verify our private information before they tell us what the call is about.

Robots don't understand that when they're the Beggars, they can't be demanding. Imagine a streetbeggar wanting a few dollars from you, but asking you to tell him your bank account number and birthday before he'll tell you how much in change he wants. I have to chuckle at the human beings who program these robots.
