Got a voice mail on my cell from this number and at my parent's house where I have not lived in over 10 years. Caller identified herself as Elizabeth Green and provided the callback number (1-855-492-8800) and a reference number. Her message indicates that this is a courtesy call for a legal notice that requires delivery for my state (Maryland). She says the legal notice will be delivered to my home on Thursday, 6/12/14, between 3-5 PM. She closes by saying that I have been notified. Scrolling throught the above comments, I am gathering that this is in regard to a debt collector, ACM. Now, I have a frame of reference for this harassing call. Thanks to everyone above for the input. I am going to call to see about settling on the debt of mine that they own and are trying to collect.

Honestly I think people who fall for it prob provide social security cards as ID and driver's licenses and they most likely use that to do whatever  it is criminals do...

Alliant Capital Management out of Amherst, NY. Debt collection company trying to serve me papers.Took me a couple of tries to get him to tell me what KIND of papers. The Blocked ID hangups are evidently the guy trying to serve me. The intimidation, I think, is due to the fact that these freelance servers don't get paid if they don't deliver the papers. Still no arrival at my home. 10 Blocked hang ups in two months. Two aggressive messages, no guy at my door.

These scammers are trying to extort money from you through intimidation.

Got another call today saying I was going to be served and to be available with two forms of ID. If it's a scam I can't figure out what it is, what they are gaining...

I also received a call from this number. I live with my Grandmother who answered the call yesterday afternoon asking for me, and said I had a claim # and was coming to the house on Monday?? Then left the same number 855-492-8800. Today he called my Mother left a message saying he is "Adam Davis"? Stated my claim # and that I'm in trouble. He said he must deliver a letter of intent to my home between 3-5:00 on Monday. I cannot rack my brain what this couple possibly be in reference to.. Especially not staying any other info? So shady!!!! This just seems extremely unprofessional. From what I have known, if legit, these people should never talk to anyone or give personal info over the regards of the call but YOU personally. I am calling the police dept later and letting them know about this. My Grandma has stage 4 cancer and I don't want anyone (if this even happens) to come to the door harassing her!

I have received two calls associated with these numbers:  855-492-8800 and 855-480-0541.  Interestingly, the callers phoned from 541-255-3347, an area code located in Eugene, Bend or Pendleton, Oregon.  Both times I was informed to expect delivery of legal documents either at my home or place of employment.  Both times the so-called delivery did not happen.  Yes, I think this is definitely a scam!

Got a call saying that I was going to be served by this company called ACM with legal papers that needed my signature.  Did not have my name correct. Given a claim number and the phone number of 855-492-8800.  Call came from a local guy named Frank Moscatto who said he was with a certified courier service but was an independent person and when I got off the phone with him I called back the number that was on my caller ID and it said it was a disconnected number.  This is some kind of a scam.  

caller said he needed to deliver Washington State legal papers to me today at either home or work - finally got a name Chris Caldwell out of them and a claim number - but I can't call either number back to check them out - I was given 855-492-8800 and then if that didn't work to try 866-658-9438

Got a call from a Mike giving me a courtesy call to serve a claim.  Seems like an intimidation call.  

Did he serve you? What happened?

Sorry: he left a message that said those things. I called my neighbor to look out for him because I'm worried he might try to intimidate her too. Gross.

Got a call from "Mr. Socko" from a blocked number. Said he was going to come to my home or place of work and that I needed to make myself available with two forms of ID. He gave this number to call if I had any questions. He said, "Sarah. You have been notified." He sounded like he was trying to intimidate me.

Some pre-litigation company.   Not clear.  Don't know what kind of scam they're pushing.  This number has been used in cruise scams in the past.   It appears to be a general scam call-back number.

Beware.  Take care.

Called today, name given was mike. Said he is a carrier hired to deliver a certified letter. States the company game him my social security and personal information.
