Received the same message as the previous post - Dancing Dave....called and left message on a sunday. Asked for the owner by name. The company that handles our credit card processing would never ask for the owner, they would email the employee that handles this responsibility.

to LML, the calls are placed on sundays so that you can call whenever you are available during the week. Sorry if thats inconvenient to you.

Same Sunday caller showed up on our voicemail, complete with "mandatory change" bs. Turns out it's National Merchant Services, aka "The Bankcard Group", yet another shop that pumps credit card processing services. Pres & main contact is Timothy Ligon. VPs: Jayme Mathis & John Mott. Received a call on Sunday afternoon to my home number The call went to voice mail. It was from Jeanette saying there was a mandatory change that had to be made to my Merchant Services account. Caller ID said she was call from 855-495-1187, but she told me to call back on 855-433-2985. She knew my first name probably from my answering machine. I have no such arrangement so the call is a nuisance and is being reported to authorities trying to stop these calls.

These idiots called our business on a Sunday afternoon (apparently a pattern of theirs based on previous postings here.)  We let the recorder pick up and, when it did, they promptly hung up.  What idiot calls an oil company on a Sunday afternoon??  Even if we were a normal retail type business, the person who makes decisions about credit card accounts probably won't be there on a Sunday afternoon.  Or is that their intention?  Get an employee to agree to something so they can try to trick a business into switching services or something.  Legitimate or not, I'm not about to do business with any company that calls on a day not typically considered a normal business day because it smells too much like a scam or a company that's out of touch with normal business practices.

This call is from National Merchant Services. They will lead you to believe that they are calling from your existing merchant service provider so that you will give them information. Then they will send you a contract to sign which switches you to their service. Not illegal but very sneaky and shady if you ask me. Makes me certain that I do not want to do business with them.

I did not answer.  Trap Call gave me their name.

Free anything means they are screwing you in other ways. I bet you are paying top dollar for their service and probably a hefty service fee. Never buy unless you initiate it. I would also keep an eye out that you don't get your personal/business information stolen and new accounts opened.

Called about credit card compliance. THIS IS A SCAM or just a very bad attempt to get business. Either way, STAY AWAY FROM.

Nicole called to tell me that my Merchant Account was out of compliance and that I needed to update my account, she called on a Sunday afternoon, sounded recorded. We have a company we deal with, they email us when needed. It is obviously a telemarketer...

Called and left a message about my merchant service account.  Was leaving for the day and I should call Nicole tomorrow at the same number that the call originated from.  Business call on a Sunday afternoon?  Don't think so and  I do not have a merchant service account with anyone.

They called me in a Sunday and left message about a merchant account. I do not have one or want one with them.

Called to tell me that my Merchant Account was out of compliance and that I needed to update my Account. Only problem.... I don't HAVE a merchant account and never have!! I would be very cautious with these folks.. just another scam to get your personal information.

Called today around lunch. Needed to do a PCI Update. Got a new terminal out of it for free
