Collection agency, however there is no reason for any collection agency to contact me. I double checked my credit report to make sure there wasn't something strange, reported in error! It is definitely a "SCAM". It's frustrating if you answer, they know your phone number is valid & working phone number. The scam
continues & leads to more calls, as your number is sold to others. I recommend to block this number on all cellular accounts & phone lines. Also tell friends/family about it before they even receive a call.

DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!
It's a reverse charge scam on top of debt scam...
Area code 855 is a future area code reserved for toll-free calls in which the calling party is not charged. Instead, the telephone carrier charges the cost of the call to the called party.
Ridiculous, right?
Got this info from phone company....
I will not be answering their calls.

These people are in CAMBODIA. Is it even legal for them to call. They also informed me that they are a law firm. When I asked them what the name of the law firm is, (argumentative). I also asked what type of firm they were.
All they do is hang up.
Bruce McIntosh 2014-04-17 16:15:42 Unknown
I keep getting calls from this number for Catherine Carr and I have no idea who this person is. They say they'll take me off the call list but within a month it starts all over again.

this company claims to be a debt collector. we are almost $100 apart on what is owed & they refuse to send me anything in writing. I have been making regular payments to another collection company.

Got two calls. The first one having a country code attached to the number on this thread. I looked it up and it originates from the UK. Definitely DO NOT CALL BACK.. Not sure that they are pulling an international rate charge scam but, looking at the other posts, it's certainly not legit.

They had called me on vacation, I couldnt hear them, they kept on telling me they are a law firm collecing from some dr office Hospital or something. I still couldnt hear, i said u want to settle send me something in writing. I gave them my email, which I think on second thought after was a stupid idea, no email unless its in spam. That I am not touching with a ten foot pole.

They call from lots of different numbers. It's the same people/company to try to throw people off.
They pretend to be collecting old debt, even though it has already been satisfied so they can hound you forever.
Don 2014-02-13 00:34:59 Unknown
It sounds like they're really just scam artists pretending to be debt collectors.
Don 2014-02-13 00:32:16 Unknown
Most telemarketers just keep changing their number so you can't block them.
Don 2014-02-13 00:30:31 Unknown
#1) Never call back a number you don't know. That's why they don't leave a message. They want you to call them so they can get your ear and rope you in.
#2) If you use Google Voice, Google will keep track of every call you make and receive forever. I wouldn't give up my privacy to a corporation with such abysmal ethical standards. (Yes, I block Google in my firewall.)

I answered work cell phone - Hello Hello? no one said anything, but I could hear a ton of activity in the background. So I just sat there a few seconds. Finally a man said "Hello?" I said "Yes?" and he hung up.
Calls from this number began after someone filled out INSURANCE RATE QUOTE FORMS. Obviously they sold a list of numbers to many others. Calls have increased 500%.
ITS CRAZY!!!!
I see people are saying they are debt collectors.
Collectors are not always hired by the company you had debt with.
They'll look up old debts and demand money for old debts that actually have been taken care of.
Some of them actually will give the money to the debtor, many of them are 100% scam and just keep the money.
(it's happened to me).
My suggestion is, when you get a debt call, work directly with the company you owe. Pay them directly.
Then you know where your money went.

I have a DROID and downloaded the Mr.Number app. I will block any call you tell it to. Best app ever. I after I asked them to send me verification in writing and they called 5 minutes later I added their number to Mr.Number. They can call 10000 times, and they will get blocked 10000 times. Give it a try.

Alfalfa 2013-05-24 14:38:48 Unknown
Demand a legitimate mailing address in which to dispute the alleged debt. If they refuse, inform them you will have an attorney get it for you.
NO validation, NO debt. It's that simple.

We received daily calls from this INDIAN collection firm. We investigated the "bad debt" and contacted the Dr.'s office involved who confirmed the amount is not owed and they had not sent it for collection to any collection agency. Now when we try to explain this we can't get them to even listen the just keep repeating the same script over and over. HOW CAN WE GET RID OF THESE GUYS!

I have no idea who this is, and at this point I don't care either. I got two calls in two weeks to my Google Voice number--once on the 25th of March and again just earlier today--and the second week has barely even begun! I called back and was told by an automated system that it was the "National Asset Management" company or something like that. Automatically I thought something was fishy based on the name and the fact that it seems to be fully automated, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because so far I have yet to find any conclusive evidence as to what this company even is--good (unlikely...), neutral (never know...) or bad (highly probable).
Both times my phone did not ring, because they did not get past the Call Screening feature of Google Voice; they just appeared in my inbox. Shows how important the calls must have been--they can't even say their name when a computer recording asks! After two calls in eight days, they are now blocked. I'm getting tired of them cluttering my incoming calls list.

I keep getting calls from this number. When i finally answered they asked me if they could speak to some person that I have no idea who they are. I've gotten calls for this person from other numbers as well. Not sure what's going on?

When called back the recording says National Asset Management.
