I am getting this same call,,,going to my elderly parents home. Very scary for them to say the least. I am turning it in to my local sheriffs department.

They stated an advidaited number and state a restraint order was going to be filed against me. Wanted me to make a payment or else taking me tocourt. I told tthem to go ahead.

also got a call on my cell phone saying  That I need to get hold of my attorney and that there is a restraining order

I get a call from the same lady every other month or so. I have been getting these calls for almost 4 years now. They tell me the same story every time. I took out a payday loan from paydayloans.com ( which honestly I've never taken out a payday laon from any company) and I will be ordered to appear in court since I never paid and there is a restraining order against me from that company. But it's funny how it's the same lady every time and I have never recieved anything more than phone calls, no paperwork, deputy etc. It's a scam. Don't ever pay them anything!!! No matter what they say.

I just received the call as well.  I work at a law firm.  I am looking forward to calling them back and harrassing them.  Seriously though, I only answered the phone because usually the police comes up as all 000000.  Was thinking something bad happened.  

I have received the same call just now!  All zeros on caller id and when you call back its a joke!  What do they hope to accomplish?

This was the transcript of the message received via email:
This is a civil investigations unit. We are contacting you in regards to a complaint being filed against you personally went the claimant affidavit number four seven nine six nine. Where you have been named a respondent in a court action and must appear. There is a contact number on file which you must call 8554979788. Please forward this information to your attorney in that the order to show cost contains a restraining order. You or your attorney will have twenty four to forty eight hours to oppose this matter. The claimant affidavit number once again is four seven nine six nine. Call 8554979788...."

Same people called me about an hour ago, all zeros on caller id. I wish it were this easy to have a restraining order filed against someone by phone but it is absolutely not the way the system works. Unless you are personally served by someone other than the party requesting the order&generally given a hearing date nothing can be filed. I am not sure what they are attempting to achieve with these calls or how money can be made on bogus restraining orders.

Please print this out and take it to your boss. Its a scam, and these clowns are not the police. They are extortion scammers. And it is illegal to impersonate a officer of the law, but this doesn't stop them. Many articles on this and alerts about it. There are many threads here with extortion scam operations.

You and your boss should file reports. He may also be able to have his phone service provider block the number that is presently calling. One of the biggest flags is pretending to be a officer of some sort and your getting - hello, wait for it - a restraining order because you owe some made up debt.  These scammers are out of india and other foreign country's, they have no clue how our laws work, let alone the fact that owing money is a civil matter, not a criminal one..Here's some of the articles on these scams..

The only way to get these people to stop harassing us is for everyone to report them to your local department. It is not okay for them to call and say it's about a restraining order when in deed that is not how a restraining order happens. Talk about embarrassing having to explain that to your boss when they answered the phone just a second ago.

This company keeps calling my job saying it's about a restraining order and they are the police. I have filed 2 police reports on this company and have been getting no help. I am at wits end with this do not give this place any of your information

The just called and stated I needed to have my attorney call them because I have to appear in court as somone is supposedly filing a restraining order against me..........No one has any reason to file a restraining order against me...this is BOGUS!!!! The phone number came in on my caller ID all zeros

They just called me saying someone has a restraing order against me.

Keep getting calls from this # as well. Have asked them on multiple occasions to remove my # from the case file for which they are calling. Have been hung up on twice. Was told that it was their right to hang up on me, very nice...not.

Thay call me one to 4 times a year,,when I call them back I tell them that I am recording and thay get mad and hang up
