I have also been affected by Comprehensive and their stupid antics. But I do have a question on what can help me better determine when it is a scam. What certain FDCPA questions should be asked??

I totally understand KC.  I am in the same boat as you.  They have harassed me for 6 years and call my elderly grandmother and she thinks I am going to jail.  I have filed every complaint that you can possibly file and nothing can be done.  It is like terroristic threatening but yet no authorities want to get involved.  It is really taking a toll on me and my well being.  Sometimes the calls come from India, sometimes from the USA.  Every few weeks my info gets sold to yet another scum sucking company.  I have never gave them one red cent so I'm not sure what they are even wasting there time on me.  On of the scums from India even blow up my work switchboard.  The literally had to turn the switchboard off all day so the calls would stop.  Yet the police, the FBI, or anyone else could do nothing.  I guess it will haunt me until the day I die.

My FAMILY & FRIENDS were called by this "Jenna" asking for me.  Then called me AFTER calling them and have been calling me for the last few days.  The number that shows on Caller ID is local (916)903-5652, but when you call it back it beeps and hangs up.  This is a routed number and is fake, they use a phony number with your area code to try to make them seem legit.  (If you're doubting they're local, ask them something only a local would know.  I bet you they can't answer!).  "Jenna" told me, like everyone else on this thread, that she worked for "Comprehensive" and that I owed money.  She gave me a "Claim #" and told me to call (855)499-8618.  Said she was going to serve me papers today.  So I told her "Well, I'll see you later then" and hung up.

For over SEVEN YEARS now, my FAMILY, FRIENDS and I receive these damn "collection" calls saying I owe money, will be served papers, blah blah blah.  About every 6 months or so these calls will come in and they keep calling for days/weeks, and as I mentioned, this has been going on for over 7 years.  THIS IS A SCAM!!!! What they are doing is illegal.  Any company that THREATENS you, is looking for you but call anyone other than you (family, friends), relentlessly badgers you, or calls you over and over and over again, is not legitimate.  And if it was legit, they would give you their information when you ask them and they will already have your correct information, so why would they call?  I hope nobody falls for this SCAM.  If you have doubts, tell them you'll verify it by checking your credit report and if it is legitimate you will call them back.  You can also ask for their address to send a demand letter for the "defaulted loan" information and demanding they contact you ONLY via written correspondence (snail mail).  Legally they would have to respond and abide by your request, IF they're legit of course.  If they don't give you their address or contact info, just hang up.

I am sick and tired of having to deal with these scumbags.  And, sadly, there's nothing we can do.  We can report them to the FTC and put your name on the Do Not Call list, but that doesn't help one bit.  If they are trying to scam you, why would they follow the guidelines of the Do Not Call list?  I even changed my phone number, and my new number does not even have any of my own information on it, not even my name (it's a mobile work phone) and they still somehow got my new number.
I'M FED UP!!!!  I hope somebody finds this info helpful.

This place just  keeps calling.  If you are reading this "Jenna Price" I am not answering and I am not sending you any information or money.  So you are wasting your time.  I have been dealing with this for years now and no one has scammed me yet.  Do you even know that what you are doing is illegal?  Why don't you get a legit job instead of trying to steal money.

SCAM!!!! WARNING!!!

I too recently have been reached out to by this company that claims to be a "processing" company rather than a debt collector. At first, the call came in as a local number (806-395-2118). However, they attempted to contact me earlier at my office and provided my secretary with the (855) 499-8618 number.

So anyhow, the local call came from a lady claiming to be "Anna Jackson" and she stated that she was a "locator" and wanted to verify my home and work address. I stalled her by asking the appropriate FDCPA questions. She eventually hung up on me so I immediately turned around and called the local number back. Of course.... it was busy every single time I called (at least 20 times). So, I decided to call the 855-499-8618 number. Guess who it was???? Ms. Anna Jackson!! So when she answered, I asked her why she hung up on me. She denied the fact that she spoke with me, but I hate to say it.... I am an expert when it comes to voice recognition and there is absolutely no denying that this was the same person that just hung up on me. So anyhow.... let's move past the lying and deceitful acts and carry on with the rest of the story.

So throughout my conversation with "Anna Jackson", she continued to deny that they were attempting to collect a debt. However, she also stated within the same breath that we can "resolve this issue with a visa or mastercard today". Umm... hello!! If you are not attempting to collect a debt, then why are you attempting to "resolve" an issue with payment over the phone today without providing me with any sort of documentation of the debt you are trying to collect??????

I requested a physical mailing address and was provided with the following for what it is worth:

Comprehensive
1967 Werhle Dr.
Williamsville, NY 14221

Understand your rights people!! These people are intending to collect a debt. If they do not disclose that to you at the beginning of the phone call, then they are immediately violating the FDCPA!! File a complaint with your local state attorney general as well as the FTC as their practice is a serious violation of your rights!

Another scam regarding payday loans.  I do not owe any payday loans and if I did it is illegal to collect on payday loans in the state of Arkansas.  My information has been passed along to these scum sucking so called debt collectors for 6 years now.  They have yet to scam me out of one penny so I'm not sure why that don't give up and get a real job.  I wish they would honestly serve me with the papers they have been threating me with for years now.  The Arkansas Attorney General says once they do then we can finally go after them.  But the papers never come and never will.  Just empty threats trying to scare people out of their money.

And they say "So and So (the relatives name), "you've been served please call 855-499-8618 and give us the name of your employer and your home addresses".... Seriously??? That's not even legal and they are harassing a relative? They don't say why they are serving... Royal crap

But when I told her I had no idea who Comprehensive was and knew nothing of a claim, she gave me their phone # and the claim # so they could explain to me what it was about and said  she would call me back later to verify m address? I hope they're reading this so they can know that I work at a law from that practices consumer debt defense!

UPDATE: I called the payday loan company that I allegedly "commited fraud" against, according to David at Comprehensive. The CEO of that company called me back and said they absolutely did not send my information to anyone for collections. They don't use any company called "Comprehensive" and they have never heard of them. COMPREHENSIVE is a SCAM! Do NOT give them any of your information.

I just got a call from this company - they said I committed fraud on a payday loan from over two years ago. I have since filed bankruptcy (discharged 7 months ago). A guy named "David" said I can resolve the debt right now or he will serve me papers , then said "good luck" and hung up on me when I said I dispute it. I called the payday loan company, who was not aware of any legal action against me.  Funny - looks like the two calls above me were recent too. Is this a scam? I did not give any of my information out.

It's just called Comprehensive, but they can't give you an address because of the sensitive information in their building? And they could only tell me their location was in Southern Florida.
