This is a scam. They sound real with the threats of garnish, coming to you work place, etc. Do not give them any information.

They're scammers! If they were legitimate, they would have to send you a debt validation letter proving that you owe the debt to them. When someone refuses to send you a debt validation letter (via mail, not fax or email), that lets you know that they are not who they claim to be. By law (FDCPA - Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), they MUST send you this information. Report them to the FTC and your state's Attorney General. You may also want to put fraud alerts on your bank accounts and with the three credit agencies (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian). DO NOT PAY THEM OR GIVE THEM YOUR BANKING DETAILS!
When they call back, let them know you've reported them to the FTC and the Attorney General of your state. Also tell them you are recording all calls you receive from them (even if you're not). If they start harassing you at work, print this page out and give to your manager or HR dept to let them know that scammers are harassing you. Bottom line - if someone refuses to send paperwork to prove you owe them a debt, you do not owe anything.

I received a call from the above number today. Telling me I was going to be sent a court appearance due to non payment of a Pay Day loan...They called it fraud! I asked to have them send me the documents showing me what they were talking about but, refused and said I needed to submit a checking act # or credit card for $ 243.00. Then they would send me any info I wanted. The best is my debt according to them is $ 5,000. But, they are willing to drop it down to 900.00 if I gave them the $ 243.00 today. I refused and said ok! Will be seeing you i court for the fraud amount of $5,000 dollars. The only confusing thing that got me was how did they know my address and my e-mail and my comp Ip #,,,Anyone else have a similar situation? Please tell me Im baffled.
