Keeps calling saying they are from the Marion county circuit court and "You have been Served"
Called the number they left and a reference #.  They answered the phone as "National Law Firm"
( google search turned up zilch).  They had information for someone with a similar name but I was able to verify by birth year and middle name I was not the guy they claimed to be looking for.
Very sketchy and scary sounding.  Never knew someone could be served over the phone for a court case.  Guessing it is total BS so be careful giving them any info.

Uh they called me and said this is Indiana State Police which is totally wrong

My mother in law keeps getting calls from this number and it is really starting to scare her.  Please trace it and send the information to the Indiana State Police.  I plan to do the same as well as the Indiana Attorney General.

Indiana Chiefs of Police, yada yada yada so sick of these calls.

Asked for owner and said he was calling from Indiana Chiefs of Police. Politely declined. Must be a telemarketer for the non-profit. DNC doesn't work for them.

when I asked who it was , he said and I quote " uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Indiana Chief of Police foundation"....

I answered; nobody there; called it back and got a voice mail message "...Indiana Chiefs of Police..." - they probably want money

I repeatedly get calls from this same phone number. Mostly I don't answer, but when I have, it hangs up.

they called and when i answered, they asked for my son, who lives in an apt. and not at home any more. i told him that I was his mother and would he like my son's cell phone number. He got all flustered and said no, no, i will just call again later. glad i didn't give him his cell phone number; should have known something wasn't right when he stuttered and said he would try again later, after i had already said that my son doesn't live here. i hate telemarketers!!!

For calls like that and the credit-card scam, I just pick up the phone slightly and place it back on the hook....uncertain how all these places get by "do-not-call lists".  They definitely need to be reported to some organization. If the State Police want to solicit for donations, let them find a better way.  We are living in a world where organizations and people phish numbers and are only interested in scamming.

Called and when i answerd they hung up.  Tired of getting interupted by someone who is gonna hang up on me as soon as i answer the phone.  I got better things to do.

This number called me but did not leave a message.  When I tried to call them back it just rang and rang with no one answering.  Probably just some stupid telemarketer.  Why can't terrorists find where these people work and wipe them out?

This number called me stating they were from the State police. When asked if important, they said yes. I told them I was about to go to work, which they laughed and said they would call again cause I will be home sometime.
I figure if it is the State police, it would show as State Police on my caller ID, not as a 1800 Service.
I believe it is telemarketing for the department, but I am not for sure.

They call, when I answer they spew profanities and hang-up.  When I call them back to deman they take my number off their call list I just get pinch extension requests.  This is SO annoying.
