I got a call from a person stating that he is calling from Windows third party vendor and he said my computer is attacked by virus and he want me open the computer so that he can show me. I suspected the call and said give me the call back number and ip address of my machine to cross check. I also asked for the company website which he could not give and finally i said sorry and hung up the phone. It looks like scam as i did not open my computer from last 2 weeks at all.

I just got a call as well and he wanted me to go into team hacker and give my user name and password...I stopped once I realized he wanted my password. I told him I was unsure he was legitimate and that I would call back if I needed assistance. I called my internet provider and she said he was a hacker. I am soooo glad I didn't give my password. I hope you did not either!

I just received a call from 855-539-4927. The caller, with a heavy foreign accent, identified himself as a Microsoft Technical Support Specialist. He wanted me to check errors in my computer caused by an antivirus program I have in my unit. I'd like to know if this number is a Microsoft official number.
