This lady called me from an unknown number saying she is from National Carrier Service & I have a package. Ultimately, after not responding thinking it was a scam, she called back leaving a nasty msg saying be @ home or I'm coming to your job to serve you!

You can't get a valid mailing address from them. Ive tried to look up a physical address for them to send a certified letter to stop bothering me or to request original documentation from this alleged debt I owe. The person who calls always says they are just hired by the company I owe the debt to, so they can't do anything, good front huh? They just keep calling and threatening to drop documents at my residence or place of employment.  I don't know what to do and I have reported the number to the FTC website.

I received several threatening calls from some female complianing to be a processer. She stated " If I did call 855-545-0258 I would be served with legal papers. Also, I was constantly harassed at home with these types of verbal threats. Individuals like this need to be prosecuted to the full extend of the law.

I too just got a call from a Lisa Wright saying the exact same thing, that she was coming to my house first and if I am not there she would come to my place of employment! I live in Kentucky! She told me I had to have 2 forms of ID and if I was not here at work she would leave it with my HR...Funny thing is I have recently ran my credit report due to trying to buy a house, and last year I just bought a brand new car from a dealership and nothing was said to me about oweing or having some type of judgement!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I too have received a message from Lisa Wright which said she was a process server from a county I don't even live in and that she was going to come to my place of employment and serve me papers. She said that I must have a supervisor with me and a valid form of ID but if I wanted to put a stop order in place all I had to do was call 855-545-0258 but if she was already on her way it would be to late. I live in Ohio so she is a magical traveler if she can serve all these different states.

Funny thing is - I don't live in a County - I live in a Parish in Louisiana.  She needs to be up on her game before she makes these calls.  Lisa Wright must be a "magical Leprechaun" to be able to be serving all of us around the country at the same time

A comment on sister site WhoCallsMe identifies Mariner as yet another thug PDL collection shop in western New York, what a non-shock. They reportedly change names like gym socks. Confirm a valid mailing address and any one of you with complaints of their abuse and lies can make them pay you for the hassle in court, at low or no cost.

I too am receiving calls from a Lisa Wright.  She is one busy process server.  I also called the number back and when I started asking questions about what this was for, I was screamed at by a woman and then transferred to someone else.  Before she transferred me, she keep putting me on hold ( I could hear the music) to block out everything I was saying.  The guy she transferred me to was just as nasty and said all my paperwork had been transferred to the county and that there was nothing he could do.  When I asked for the address and phone number for which county office my paperwork was sent to, I was immediately hung up on.  Total Scam!  If anyone figures out how to get rid of these low lives, please post everywhere on the internet.

A Lisa Wright called my place of employment and said that she was a process server and would show up at my job with a uniformed officer and that a supervisor must accompany me when I sign the papers that are being served on me, and that supervisor must sign also verifying that I work there  Also if I wanted to put a stop order in before she showed up I needed to call 855-545-0258.  But I must call immediately because once she is in route, I cannot stop her from serving me.  BULL - SCAM!

I recieved the same phone call claiming to be from my county and they will come to my place of work with an uniformed police officer. In her message she never stated what these charges or documents were regarding or what department  of my county she was with. I don't know how they got my number and i dont owe anyone but reviewing these statements only confirmed what I thought.

They are criminal scammers.  You will not be served.  No real process server calls ahead to give advance notice of being served.   Research the FDCPA and see how many of its provisions they are violating!

A woman claiming to be a process server by the name of Lisa Wright has been calling my office leaving messages.  Her number is blocked as a New Bern PRI number.  She keep leaving a number that I can only assume is 855-545-0258 to call back.  When she says them number, and only when she says the number the line is full of static.  She claims she went to my home yesterday and no one came to the door and that she was coming to my place of business today.  If she doesn't find me it will be turned over to the county and these missed court dates will be held against me.  I have not idea who she is or what she wants.  She claims this is something form 2011.

I call them god damned moon god worshiping Pakistanis.  I tell them to worship their pig mother.  I tell them they smell like the raw sewage that swims in their sister's mouths.  Then I take my Fox 40 whistle and blow it as loud as I can into the phone.  They never call back.

we were called by a woman claiming to be a process server...she was going to come to our home to serve documents..if we weren't here she would come to our place of work and seek human resources or boss to embarrass us to sign in public...then said we could call this no. to prevent that from happening! then wished us good luck in a very morbid tone!! why can't these people be found and prosecuted for their scams! we don't owe anyone money and we are in no trouble...these people prey on weaker people and should be STOPPED!!!

It's a scam! They call my work almost everyday! They threaten my colleagues because I won't take the call.  They will not stop. I called the local police and they said the only way they can interfere is if there is an actual person physically there. Which never happens because it's a scam!
