The call came from a cell phone in New York, 347-623-4211, saying that they are a 3rd party calling to inform about an outstanding debt and for further information to call 855-366-5231. When I called that number I got an answering machine saying the company was R and J Firm. A quick Google seearch brought up R and J Consulting Firm http://www.rjconsultingfirm.com/index.html . I called their published number 855-552-9932 and got a recording that said the number you are dialing is not in service.

You'd think criminals would be a bit smarter in this day and age of technology. Can you say M-O-R-O-N-S? I knew you could.

This number calls my work periodically and it's always the same routine but different names (actors) . They are highly unprofessional and they would have my contact information instead of calling our corporate office looking for me. I do not owe any bills or debts. I have good credit! This is a scam people! Please be aware!

Was ask to have my husband call because they had legal papers to serve him.and needed him to call back asap to stop the process. Got disconnected and the called right back. it was very loud in the back ground. Didn't sound professional

Scan alert on this number.  they just called me at work.  This is not how the legal system works.  If they want to bring you to court you will be served with papers you will not receive a "warning" phone call.

I got a call today from 623-240-9002 saying that an ex boyfriend from ten years ago was being pursued in reference to an urgent legal matter and if he did not respond that they would dispatch a summons to serve. In trying to get more information, they said they did not know what it was about, but to call 855-552-9932 and give a reference number. I told them I had not spoken to him in over ten years, but they kept me on the phone trying to get more information. I feel like it is a scam.

They did the same with me yesterday saying I owe them money from a credit card I never had.... Don't be fooled!!

A relative got another call today from this number (1st call 2 weeks ago). A lady said that this was the 2nd attempt, that it is regarding a legal matter, that someone filed a complaint against me and that if I dont call them they would schedule a court date for me, and if I dont appear I would be fined. Im just thinking is this legit, do I bother to call? I figured they would have my phone number and address, why call the relative?

This  Number 1-855-552-9932  called me today asking aabout a freind.  Wanting his info and telling me he needed to call becasue he owes money  for soem legal matter.   However she woudl not give her name or her number of the company.  I thought it was odd.  I looked up the number and info on line sure enough they have a shady web page no contacts address phone numbers nothing.   Its a scam. i hate people liek this.   I foward all this info to every public web site I could facebook yaoo  u name it.  These f****rs will stop scaming and preying on good people.  They dont want  to call me back.  they will get more then a ear fill.

My husband received a call from his ex-wife, uncle, son, and mother all getting a phone call from these people that he owned a bill. We called 1-855-552-9932 and spoke to a woman named Rebecca Johnson at ext. 1218. She would not speak to me so I put it on speaker and we both spoke with her. She had all by the last 4 digits of his social security number, which we had to verify to make sure she had the right person. She said he was going to be sued because he still owed a bill to Sprint from 13 years ago. I figured it was a scam but she knew so much, she was such a good actress. The original amount of the bill was $270.24 and now he owes $1281. Crazy! We called Sprint and they told us it was a scam. We contacted the credit bureaus to put a fraud alert on his credit. Do not be fooled, this is a scam!!

My property management received a call from this company and asked them to forward it to me and for me to contact another person (have no idea who this person is).  First of all, I don't owe any debt, secondly, if they are so interested in contacting me why not call my phone number directly.  I am so sick of this type of phone call.

855-552-9932 Today a relative of mine got a call from a woman named Alina. She asked for me and and said to give me the message. She said that I  had 1 hour to call her back with the case # that the call is in regards to lawform paper work that the sherrif has to give me. Is this a legit call? I have been served in the past by a collector, the person was in regular clothes, it was not served by a sherriff.

Its a bill collector.

an automated call claiming legal action is going to take place.  when you follow the prompts, a live person answered and asked about an acquaintance and wanted me to forward information to them regarding a complaint that has been filed against them.  they won't give you the name of the company or any other information "we work with hundreds of legal firms".  sounds very shady.
