This number called looking for "LaTonya" or something like that. I assume it's a debt collector. The caller ID says: "Toll Free Caller".

I am continually getting calls from this number; an average of 2 or 3 a day. When I answer there is nobody on the other end of the line. I still had to stop what I was doing to go answer the phone. I want these calls to STOP.

I have two numbers that have been calling me for over a month at least 4 times a day-855-568-2611 and
877-474-2237. The FCC will not do anything about it so here are two solutions: call them back and do not
hang up then call back keep this up until they stop or slow down, the meanest way buy a whistle and blow
it as hard as you can when they answer.
I have no idea why they are calling!

Odd message left; but, did not indicate anything about who the caller is. Press 1 to connect with this caller. Press 2, to be placed on hold. Press 3 to disconnect. I stopped the recording and didn't let it finish. Really weird.

Unfortunately, filing a complaint does nothing. I have tried it, and promptly got back a letter saying that there was nothing that could be done. I give up....I'm going to disconnect my landline!

If you have requested people from this number to stop calling (as long as it is not a collection issue) or you have called back and were unable to get a person, you can file a complaint (especially is you are on the DO NOT CALL list and have no dealings with the company calling) at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints for these unsolicited phone calls. These complaints can be filed online. If everyone files a complaint, maybe these calls will stop...(I know, it's a dreambut at least I have a dream...)... =) Good luck everyone!

They called looking for Eric and I am not that person. They left a message stating they were from Student Outreach Solutions on behalf of University of Phoenix.
| R. Perry 2012-04-12 23:39:25 Unknown |
Automated voice saying a name I cannot understand....sounds like Elizabeth Day Perry.
No one by that name lives here or has ever been heard of. We have been getting this message
for weeks and try to disconnect by pressing 3 only to have the call repeated the next day. No
member of the family has ever taken out a student loan so I wish they would PLEASE stop
calling. What do I do to stop this?!!!!

Yeah, they call us looking for Jason XXX XXXXXXXXX. A lot. But, as I've mentioned in other threads for (apparently) University of Phoenix (UOP is actually a REAL university, a private college, in Stockton, California and not the University of Phoenix) student loan office.
What is really interesting is that sometimes the phone calls come through on caller ID as 866-568-2611, not 855-568-2611, leaving the same pre-recorded message asking for Jason XXX XXXXXXXX. It makes you wonder about the legitimacy of this outfit. If you have a REAL reason for calling someone, why do you feel a need to hide your identity by falsifying your phone number on caller ID?

I've been getting calls from this number for over three weeks now. The message says they are looking to speak with Yashida Gordon. I've gone so far as to listen to the message hoping to speak to someone since the previously mentioned person doesn't reside at that phone number any more. Nothing seems to work to get them to quit calling

More info: It is the Dept of Education not Sallie Mae. But we know that they are in bed with each other.
