I am in the twin cities, Minnesota and received a postcard.  It was neatly placed on top of my mail by my mail carrier.  Imagine the post office earns a lot of money processing this kind of postcard.  It sounds too good to be true - it was shredded.

The only winner is the USPS.

Yes I got the same card and called.  "Ann" said it was a promotional for a company coming into the area to compete with Costco and Sam's Club.  Said I needed to bring my wife if there were two people traveling together.  And I had to commit to a pick up time.   I'm considering passing on the information to the MN State Consumer Protection.  They are pretty good about going after folks like this if they are operating outside the law.

May even contact the local P/D.

Just got a card today.  My co-worker from Victoria attended one of these presentations in Eden Prairie last week.  She said the presentation was as promised - some kind of wholesale buying club.  They gave them their vouchers when they said no and left.  Just not sure if she's tried to redeem the vouchers yet.  I think I'll pass - if it seems too good to be true, it's probably too good to be true

The Better Business Bureau put out a warning on these postcards and Platinum Travel Company (PTC):

Thank you all! My gut said if it really was a "prize" they would have not advertised it on a postcard... However, would hate to pass up a really free vacation :-)

Minnesota just got their postcards: "Congratulations..You will receive 2.. tickets... and 3day/2 nights...." It goes on to list various known brands. Call 1-855-571-8894. The claims center answers and says it is for a new online company PTC, who is a wholesale company. A 1 hour presentation is required. They would not give owner's name, online web address, nor anything. You have to attend to find out.
I did further investigation:  It?s really a gimmick to get you to sign up for a pricey travel club or website subscription.  When you finally receive the air travel voucher, you learn that you have to pay taxes and fees of $100 per person or more. Also, many travel dates are blocked, and travel ?restrictions? included a requirement to fly out on a Monday or Tuesday and return THAT Thursday. Not going to happen.

I to received "the postcard" and called.  Like Jesse, one needs to attend a presentation to be given at a local hotel.  To qualify for your "free" airline ticket and Hotel any were in the Continental US, you must pay a $75 per person registration fee as well as be responsible for any Taxes the offer accrues.  I will pass.....

I got the same post card.. Have never called on one of these.  They said it's an offer from an online wholesaler that guarantees to beat, Costco, Sams, Best Buy, etc...  They don't advertise and are spending that money to get people to learn about their company.  There's a 45 minute presentation at a hotel literally 3 minutes from my house.  They told me on the phone that I don't have to pay anything... Just learn about the company and I get the free tickets, etc...  Company is "PTC" and I can't find anything in a Google search.  I'm super busy, but I just might go to check it out... Who knows?  I thought I'd have to learn about time shares in the middle of a trip somewhere, but this is much easier.

Not a phone call, but a postcard with the
855-571-8894 number, saying I had
won two round trip tickets on Southwest, Jet Blue,
United or comparable airline, plus a 3
day/2 night getaway at a hotel such as
Marriot, Hyatt and Hilton. In small
Print they poined out they were not
Associated with any of the airlines or
hotels, and I would be responsible for
all taxes and registration fees. I did not
call the number.
