You're dealing with a desperate "Zombie" debt collection outfit. They are perfectly aware that the debt they're trying to collect from you is invalid. They don't care. They have resorted to age-old tactics in the hope they can embarrass you in to coughing up some cash. Firms that use these ploys are as low as they go.
Tell them that everyone you know is aware that they're nothing but frauds.
The people working at places like this can't really be explained to a real human being. They live an empty existence. They're not truly human at all. They can somehow crawl through their lives knowing that they're nothing. What they do is nothing. That they come from nothing. That they're going nowhere. They serve no purpose but the ones they imagine are their own.
They are despised & are held in contempt by everyone. Even their own families and friends. This doesn't bother them in the least. It's all they've ever known. It's the only reality they've ever known. To them it's normality. Pity them.
As I said, tell them that everyone you know is aware of what they are. They'll probably give it up. A few weeks from now an even lower bunch will start trying. They bundle up the paper they've failed on & sell it. To another group of scum-bags that are one step lower on the evolutionary ladder. You're dealing with pure scum. I could go on at length on how to track them down. Have them served. That would be a waste of time. Outfits like this are nothing. They have nothing. Have you ever tried to get blood out of a rock?
Ignore them. Block their calls . If they happen to catch you unawares, tell them it's too bad their mothers couldn't have afforded that abortion. Forget them and....
Live Well.

Thank you I appreciate it. Only problem is when I block a number they call from another number

It's a scam. DEFINITELY! Your callers actions are in flagrant violation of federal regulations under the FDCPA.
Case closed. Ignore them or block their calls. You should also file a complaint to the FTC.
Be Safe. Be Aware.

They called my place of employment and told the hr that I would be arrested and to save myself the embarrassment and pay the debt. Then received a call stating that adverse action would be taken if I did not return their call within 48 hours. Can someone definitely tell if this is a scam for sure? Called the ohio attorney general and they opened a complaint file

I requested to have them mail me a bill and I received a hand written envelope with no return address written on the envelope. Also, cannot find them anywhere online by name or address provided inside the letter. Very sketchy...

Also, it turns out that this number belongs to a scam company run by someone named Don and is called "Santa Fe Management". Don thought it was advantageous to create an official "website" using wordpress.org and can be found at http://santafemanagementllc.com/ . I guess since its on the web, he thinks it should be taken seriously. What he was too stupid to realize is, that when he is investigated, his IP will be tracked by the government thru his own website and the location will point them right to his home or place of business. I wonder if theyll be calling him ahead of time to let him know he will be getting served with papers.

Theyre scam artists. I went thru this a few months ago regarding a different number. They are buying your info from a past collection that you may or may not have paid off and trying to collect on it. They are not licensed or legit bill collectors by any means, and can be sued for their illegal activities. They will never serve you with "papers". Thats just a scare tactic to get you to pay them money quickly before they get shut down and open up another 877 or 855 number and continue.
The "debt" is not owned by these people. Otherwise they would follow the law when it comes to contacting you and representing themselves as a legit debt collector. Having someone call you and not identifying themselves, or telling you theyre going to serve you with "papers", or not letting you know that "this is an attempt to collect a debt..." should set off a few alarms that it is a scam.
If anyone calls you and refers you to this number, I suggest finding out who is originally owed the money and contact them directly. They will tell you who you should contact from there, and I can guarantee you that it wont be these scam artists.
Know who youre giving your money to before you set up payments out of fear and threats. No one will EVER serve you papers with advance notice. If its legit, theyll just find you and serve you. Thats how it works
Heres a link to some more info and some of that is pasted below: http://www.fdcpalawyeronline.com/
