I actually got a text message, can you believe that...............I know I don't owe anybody except students loans that are in good standing.  These mo-fo's better leave me alone before I bring them to court.  There was one company Fredrick J. Hanna that was calling me about some old debt that was dissolved in my bankruptcy in 2000.

first a call went to my eldery mother saying that the police are coming to get me but she would call them and tell them to wait an hour for me to call this number and there was a docket number or case number then they want you to say yes or no to the last digets of your ss number,dont do it .these people suck and should be punished real hard

I recevied a call from a restricted number--  i ususally do not answ those calls either but I was expecing a call from someone. I answered of course they said i was bein summoned to court and ifI wouldbe available to sign. i told them know as I am out of town. Then I called the number they gave and said I was being  sued from HSBC for breach of  contract he was very rude. Said  I charged somehing  years ago Well I found that hard to believe beause I cncelled the card when I go divorced over 10 ears ago.

They called my brother today with the same approach about me. I think they are stealing personal information and making up lies. If I owed the debt they told him I owed BOA would not have financed my home. I would not have been able to get the student loans I just received for my Doctoral degree. I think they are threatening the law suit to get to the family to see if they will pay for the family member to keep them out of jail through fear. This is a low attempt to try to extort money from people. I guess I am going to have to make a trip to California because I will not have a dehydrated piece of bovine fecal matter threatening my family in my name over something I know nothing about. I have already researched the owner of this business and his name is fitting to their tactics. What they are doing is illegal, but by the time law enforcement takes action they will all be rich.

This number called my parents looking for my ex (divorced 7 years). They gave my parents this number and a case number and said my ex has 2 hours to call cause he is being sued here in Fl. Well, the ex called them they were rude threated to put liens on his properties if he didn't pay a debt from 2001 with First Fidelity. We had no accounts with such a company ,ever!  (also my ex owns nothing-rents a trailer,LOL)  They tried to claim the debt took place in fl (we lived in NJ all our lives up until a few years ago)They are just fishing around for info. Do not give them any info.

Same here in Fairax VA, some A Hole by the name of David James, or David Jones, called my mom, very rude, giving her phone number 855-595-6319 to call along with a case number, and some b***s*** about a summons to apear in court, etc.  Told her to just hang up on them.  I would turn them in if I only new who I need to call.

3/28/12  I received a frantic phone call from my brother(who lives 3,000 miles away) telling me I have a court date tomorrow. That I am being sued. They would'nt say anymore, just the phone#1-855-595-6319 and docket #. So I freaked out and called the # She said I owe $183.00 to a bank. I closed that account over 4 years ago! Leaving a balance of 10.00 in it! I told them I want all transactions showing I owe. She was nasty rude and hung up on me.They probably have my ss# and I know they have my address and phone# but chose to harrass my brother and my elderly mother and who knows who else! Now that I have their phone# I plan on................ as much as possible. And call the BBB on them.I will call my old bank and get to the bottom of this, thru them only. I DO NOT OWE THEM A PENNY!!!!!

this number called my work ant told the H.R. lady that i had a summons and if i didnt call back i was going to be picked up for not being at work i didnt know they can shair that kind of information like that with anyone other than the person being served

I just received that same call.  He said they are in contact with the local authorities and I am being sued.  She mentioned I had 4 hours.  I thought it was serious I nearly had a panic attack before finding out it was in reference to an old credit card I had back in 2004 when I was a senior in High school.  The Texas statute of limitations for debt is 4 years.... plus didn't Obama pass a law on Credit Credit debt for students 21 and younger... I"m glad I looked up this # something sounded fishy! Especially since they waited 8 or 9 years to collect

This guy is going to prevent me from being charged with contempt of court and arrest, He claims I owe $6000.00  on a credit account the was discharged in Bnkrupcy back in 2004! Well guess what this mofo called me my phone showing private caller, I usually don't answer a call like that but I was expecting my son Dr. to call me. This carrier called me and told me that they had made two attempts to deliver an affadavit to me for court and I need to be at home, so they can deliver it .so I ask him what was it about and he said that he didn't know but he gave me a case #  and gave me a number to call to find out more about it and the # was 855-595-6319. So I called the # this so called John Snow told me I had a outstanding balance from the year 2002 and if I didn't pay it I would be summon to court. Then he told me that they had sent me a letter of resolution in December and I told him that I didn't receive a letter, he had my name, my address and ssn#, he also told me that he can talk to his manager and try to get the payment down. so I told him ok but I still didn't feel at ease. Because I told my son that was funny a man calls me and tell me to call this number and when I do call a man answers. He told me to call him back tomorrow, he wanted a checking account #, Debit card, or a prepaid card.So I checked it out on the web and thats when I saw what was going on. Because I kept on asking him 2002 and he said yea., and that I owe so much money, boy I am so glad I checked the web. When I talked to my lawyer he told me to turn it over to my brother the Sheriff, so they can help track this person down.

This guy came up on my phone as private caller. He said he would delay serving my daughter for 3 hours and left me this number for her to call. He wouldn't give me any information. When I told him she didn't live here he said that she would be served at my address anyway and if she wasn't here she would be in contempt of court.

My sister called me ten times in a row to tell me someone called her mother's house (we have different mother's) asking for me and i was going to be served papers. they used the same wordings as the entries before me. last chance, better call or else and left a case # that leads no where.

T reachhis number called my mother who lives in a nursing home.  Told her that if they couldn't lived
me, they were going to serve her papers.  They were attempting to serve papers on an address
that I haven't lived at in 10 years.  If there is something legit, they are outside of the statute of limitations.  Serving my mother who I haven't lived with for 27 years is not the legal manner to go about business.

This person named David Jones actually called my place of business and said he was from Harris County Dept of Courier service and wanted to serve me with a summons to court.   My administrators saw through this with ease and told a man by the name of David Jones... (ironic huh??? lol) that the place was a service of business.. Mr. Jones Kindly understood and hung up... Needless to say the embarassment of being called into management office and asked if I had an issue to the law and if I needed to report to court was  ....  EMBARASSING....   I have called this number multiply times with my attorney on hand with a disconnection hangup.....   I cant believe what people do to get 12 year old debts that were to sears for 60 dollars.... It has been off my credit report for years.....    Dont ever let people contact you at your place of work... IT IS ILLEGAL AND THEY WILL BE SCREWED LEGALLY IF THEY GET CAUGHT...  DONT BE SCARED AND KNOW YOUR RIGHTS..... THESE PEOPLE PROBABLY HAVE THOUSANDS OF DEBT ON THEIR OWN AND HARASS AMERICA.....   BRING IT.  A***OLES........    ...AKA... YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG PERSON... ATTORNEY AT LARGE AND AFTER YOU A**.

This number called my husband's place of employment. I called them from my house and demanded they cease and desist. They wanted to talk to my husband so I put him on, they tried to get his last 4 digits of social. I got back on and after many words spoken she hung up on me. I need the address to this company. My husband has no outstanding debts.

Same Here. I just laughed at them when they told me the address they had for me on file. Since I never lived in that state I told them to just serve the papers to the address they had. I laughed at them and hung up. Very suspicious. They gave me the same company name and phone number, but I just hung up. I know I do not have to go to court in a state all the way across the states. I wonder what they are up to? I heard one of them laugh at one point and then just hung up.

They called my sis I didn't give my sister number as a ref never. They told me I had a CPU from when I was 16. Try and I'm being sued for 4000 instead of the principle balance which was a 1000. I'm 27 now why did they wait 11yrs to get in contact with me. Sounds like a scam to me

so my parents and in laws have been getting this women calling them looking for me and tell ing me to call this number or i would be taken to court. i have read the comments above and just wonder if yall are getting more than one phone call or if anybody has actually gone to court?

I received a call on my home phone asking for my father, who lives in a different state.  I'm quite sure my father doesn't give out my phone number and frankly I don't even think he knows my home number as he only calls my cell.  I'm a lawyer and the whole thing sounded very shady, as I can't imagine what type of summons could be served at an out-of-state relative's house where my father spends maybe 8 days a year.
I called back the number and the guy refused to tell me anything but just told me to have my father call.  I told him I wasn't going to bother to tell my father anything unless he gave me an idea of what it was about, since they called my house.  I told him that I am an attorney and I just want to understand what type of summons and what jurisdiction could be served in this manner.  Once I said the word "attorney," the guy got very nasty and said, "Well you seem to have all the answers, I'm going to end this call" and he hung up.  
I have no doubt that my father might owe money to somebody but this is a super-shady way to go about getting it.  I assume the tactic is that I'm supposed to get worried about my father being sued and call him right up, and he's supposed to be embarassed enough to pay them.  There is clearly no actual summons, and they obviously dug up my number through public records.  I'm not even going to mention this to my dad.

i got the same call all the way across the country. used same tactics on me. contacted state attorney general's office. sounded fishy to them also!

called my grandparents and yelled at them.  Said I lived with them and I needed to call them.  There were legal matters I needed to deal with.  Would not give location or name of company.

this is a collection agency trying to intimidate and scare you into making some sort of payment. Very shady and the guy told me to shut up!!! I immediately hung up and against my best gut feeling I answered private knowing anyone I would like to speak with does not have a blocked #. DO NOT CALL THIS # BACK JUST ANOTHER SCARE TACTIC!!!!

The person calling said she was a process server and wanted to make sure someone was home.  She wasn't associated with the Sheriff's Department.

I just recieved a call from this number too but they did not call my phone they called my moms phone who live 8 hours away from me, I never gave my mothers number to anyone heck I don't remember my mothers number. They said they dicuss anything with my mom and gave her a case number. I find it highly suspicious and try to find what this number belongs and it pop up nothing.

Same caller, same number called me....reverse lookup yielded no results.
