I had the same thing happen to me. As it turned out, there was no job and the Art Institute gets the referral. I think the school is paying for referrals and is not aware that Gigats is faking it.

It's a school I believe. I showed an interest in a job online and they made it look like they were The Cheesecake Factory & in order for me to complete my application I had to schedule a callback interview. I figured it out in the middle of the interview after she kept asking me about furthering my education. SMH!

A continuing education scam. They posted a fake job offer for AT&T I applied and email pop's up to call this number back to complete the application. Then they ask a thousand questions to get you to comment to a continuing educations offer. The job offer was a fake. I should have known better than to call this number.

Ya Gigats? Seems the jobs they send me are just rehashed jobs I can find on line myself.  And when I talked to the guy it was School?  No not really?  Here talk to this guy at a school.  I was professional but its gotten me know where.  Looking for a job these days I guess we have to deal with this crap.

I JUST GOT A CALL FROM 855-637-9571 FOR A POSITION I NEVER APPLIED FOR I READ ALL THE OTHER POST WHEN I RESEARCHED THE NUMBER CAUSE I DID NOT KNOW WHO THIS WAS CANT THEY STOP THIS SCAMMING CANT THEY BLOCK THAT NUMBER OR CANCEL IT. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THERE SELFS FOR TRYING TO SCAM HARD WORKING PEOPLE

employment seeking help is all, but a PITA to go through.  they are not calling about the job, they pre-screen for the jobs.

Just received a text with the same type of message as the rest of the respondents regarding a bookkeeping job I had applied for.  Appreciate the feedback for all of you.  Job hunting is  not a joke.  Shame on them... My thanks to all.

its telemarketers... bs they want all info and its for jobs (suppose to be jobs)  in states that you don't live in.. a total waste of time.

I also got the same message about an Admin Asst job I applied for.  I sent back:
"I'm not entirely comfortable calling an "855" number, and have sent out resumes to many companies, but will contact you if I could get the name & address of your firm."
No response from the text.  Huh...I'm thinking scam.

I just got the following text and it's Memorial Day, so I figured it's a scam:  Hi Marta, call me about the Office Assistant Job you have applied for (855)637-9571 - (txt STOP to cancel) May 27, 5:22 PM

Hi, call me about the Customer Service Repres job you have applied for (855) 637-9571 txt STOP to cancel

Same as everyone else. Got a text. Call me about the accounts payable job you applied for. I probably didn't apply for this job. Not Calling.

I also received a text from "gigats" about a job I supposedly applied to. The number was 855-637-9571.  The text also said "(txt STOP to cancel)" Does anyone know if this works before I try it?

All you have to do is text back the word STOP and you will be unsubscribed.

I received a text message stating the following:

Hi Joseph, call me about the Warehouse Associate job you have applied for (855) 637-9571 (txt STOP to cancel)  I therefore sent the STOP text and received the following:

Career Network Job Alert: You have unsubscribed and will no longer receive msgs. For more info call 1 888-753-4394 Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.

This should be the end of this annoying text. However, internet job search sites have to make money some how, and this is one way to do it.

Seems to be a scam to me. Applied for a job got the text and they were like I am not going to stop until I get you a job... VERY ODD

Got the same thing. Who in their right mind would solicit through a text? I would dig dirt before responding. Very unprofessional.

Yeah very strange.  Why would an employer as you to call them.  Why not just call you first instead of texting you?  I do not think I'm going to respond either.  Gigats is a job website I applied on.
