Husband received the exact text today, Aug 13th @ 6:43pm and NO, he said he has not searched or surfed anything/anywhere relating to accidents auto or the likes, no lawyer services, lawsuits, nothing even remotely related so very weird! don't have a clue how they got his cell number or even that he would be a "possible client?!" (From the Willamette Valley area in Oregon). Text said it was rec'dr drvhxbgv@msn.com

Same crap "injured want money call this number" I forwarded to 7726 (spam) maybe Verizon will get on the ball and prevent this in the future. Such is life, oh bother.

Well,  In reading over the posts,  I see one person defending the rights of lawyers to spam people and steal their cell phone minutes.  I wonder what they charge per minute when someone takes up their time.
And then I see the same person, with an obvious mesiah complex,  who has such a high opnion of lawyers and his/her own self,  that they can criticize others for their opnions and insult them as long as they don't say bad things about lawyers,  the ones who obviously saved the world!!!  Pathetic...

It's the "Injury Compensation Agency" located in Labrador Canada who claims to only receive calls from individuals who have filled out an application with their company.  They then connect those individuals to personal injury attorneys throughout the U.S..  The guy I talked to refused to believe that I had received an unsolicited text message, called me a liar, refused to tell me which firms/attorneys they refer their applicants to, and then hung up on me.  Despite having a company name, I have been unable to locate a website for them.

Well good for you!   I paint what I see.  You are looking through paralegal rose colored glasses because I, just like most eveyone else,  see the Ambulance chasers every day on TV,  hear them on the radio,  and now get their spam via our cell phone at our costly per minute expense.  Many are making big bucks on convincing people to claim disability,  sue anyone and everyone,  and everyone knows exactly what I mean because they see it on TV also.  "We are not ambulance chasers,  we don't lie,  cheat or steal"  Holy Crap!   You're brain dead,  blind and or deaf!.  "Prejudice"   meaning to "Pre-Judge" and I am not prejudging anyone.  I've had 67 years to watch just about every profession on the books and I put Attorneys right up there with politicians and loan sharks.

Maybe Not necessarily scammers.  After all,  they give the same speel daily on local and national Television.
Soliciting for people to claim Disability and anything else to get them a paycheck at the taxpayers expense.

Unfortunately your call can be considered informational or a survey of which both are legal.  I don't agree with it and I don't like getting the calls either,  but that's the way it is so don't shoot the messenger..  Also unfortunately,  only Registered with the FTC Telemarketers are required to purchase the DNC List and abide.  All other complaints and violations are handled by the FTC or further up the food chain,  FBI.
The FTC/DNC  explains it quite well for those who care to go there and review the functions and rules.

I received a text message today (8/9/2013) at 11:15 AM on my cell phone from an email address of  gnfxsnjfe@hotmail.com.  The message reads:  Are you seriously injured? Call us now 8556518180.

This is apparently a lawyer or law firm trying get people to file scam law suits. I filed a DNC complaint... As if it will do any good. It costs me money every time I receive a text. These scumbags need to be irradiated, especially since it seems to come from a lawyer.
