Just like one poster on here said IGNORE these people, they use these scare tactics to scare you!!! Jennifer called private on my work phone but left 855-676-6744 saying they were going to file in court on Wednesday. I listened and laughted cause they have been calling threatening for the last 2 years and nothing has been done. Also as stated in one post its bad debt that has been wrote off and nothing can be done about they attempt to collect taking a chance to recoup the money. When I do answer and talk to them I tell them file whatever you need to do or if/when you do show up at my job it will not be a pretty scene!!! I actually have all the numbers that they call from going straight to voicemail only get their message that I laught at.

Is this the correct address for the people. I talked to an attorney and he said they are breaking the law. But supposedly they are going under the name warrant management company

The company stating the tried to deliver papers to my home address and no one was there to sign, so the company stated there were going to my job Friday morning. I called them back and ask who they were, they ask me all of sort of question and stated they have right to come to my job I told them they do not by law that is form harrasment, and they said I do not know the low and hung up in my face.

These people have been calling my job and I work in government facility.  Needless to say I would like something done about this.

Did anything ever come of this? Did they continue to call you?

I received calls from AFB and Associates and was told I owed money and attorneys fees on an old payday loan. So I made payment arrangements and was paying them every 2 weeks. I paid them over $900. I lost there number one day, because I needed to change my arrangement... So I contacted the company that AFB claimed I orginally owed, I was told by the pay day lender that I owed them nothing and that I was a victim of a scam. I had my bank reverse all of the transactions made with these low life scammers. Please learn from my example and check them out and report them to the FTC.

i got a call from this number. They had my ss number and said his namd was micheal "something" from the fraud division. and that I had 48 hours or they would do something to my homestead and have a hold on my driver's license. He talked so fast I haad to listen to the message 3 times. he left a return number of 888-896-1992 ext 162 from afb and associates. I saved the message for my attorney. very rude and threatening!!

Yeah, that loser SOB Hawkins (anyone notice these morons are using generic, bogus names?) called me yesterday with a lot of legal mumbo jumbo, but the kicker was something to the effect of placing a hold on my driver's license!!  Nonsense!  Only your state's DMV can do that!  And that for traffic convictions, numerous violations, misdemeanors and felonies. "Homestead"? WTF? What is this? Little House on the Prairie ?!?!?  I would tell these jerks that if they want to "serve" you, they can serve you at your attorney's office with your attorney present.  And most police departments (Sheriff's, for instance) have civilian subpoena servers, so to say that a law enofrcement person will serve you is absurd. It's a civil problem-not a criminal one-and the law tries to stay out of those issues as much as possible.  Funny-these idiots have never called my place of employment.  Of course, we have an automated answering system so maybe they have tried, and can't get through. Ignore and while annoying and stressful, don't answer but if you do, do not give them any personal information.  They have to provide a validation of debt in writing, and when they are asked to provide this, most become very hostile, aggresive and threatening, but disconnect the call.

Received 4 calls  from AJ Hawkins from AFB Legal Department 888-583-9974 yesterday stating that my daughter had listed me as a reference and they needed to speak to her immediately about an Affidavit of Assignment and Complaint against her social security number and drivers license.  They stated there was a civil judgement claim pending and they needed her deposition of intent within 96 hours or she would be served at her homestead or place of employment.

Received 2 calls so far today from same number and now they are asking for her.  Same basic message as above however they state this is in regards to a US Bank debt with account number ending in XXXX.  Problem is - she has never had a loan, credit card or account with US Bank.  
What a scam!  These people need to be stopped NOW!!!

someone keeps calling my phone for my ex boyfriend from 888-583-9974 ext. 122. they have called from four different numbers in regards to some lawsuit. i keep telling them that we havent dated in over two years but they continue to call my phone number. its strange because i didnt even have this number when i dated him. i guess its a fraud.

Got a call from Jack Givens with AFB & Associates. Left the usual message - if I don't call back within 24 hours they will file a civil judgement suit that has been entered against me. I never answer the calls, just let them go to voice mail. They also used 888-583-9974 ext. 122. With all of these postings noted, can't anything be done against them, especially because of their threats and harrassments?

These people are so fake! I found out they are using a phone system called "Office PBX Phone Solution" to get all these different toll free numbers that they call from. I have received calls from numbers such as: 1-855-676-2518 and 1-888-583-9974. First it was a girl called "Katelyn" now its some "Rita the legal aid" who states I need to call back or they will come to my homestead or place of employment to serve me and I have 48 hrs to contact them and ends with  "good luck" just like all the other fake a$$ callers. "Katelyn" also kept saying I had 48 hours to call back or they would come for me.....this was last week!! Now its this "Rita" who claims shes a legal aid that's giving me "48 hrs"!! REALLY???

I received a call from 8556762518. I no longer answer phone calls from numbers I cannot identify. The last time I accidentally answered a call, the person calling told me I was either going to be taken to court or I would pay the money I owe to a particular number.

The money I owe is to a loan company that over-drafted my account because the payment was due the day before my payday. I tried to get the company to change my due date by one day and they refused.. I recently learned these companies are known as "predatory lenders" preying on people with limited income. As an example, every time I make a payment, I am charged an addition $100.00 fee.

There must be some way to circumvent these threatening phone calls. I am researching this practice but not coming up with many practical answers.

One other point: Beware of calls coming from your area code. These companies are routing their calls in such a way that it appears to be coming from your area. When you answer, you are either directed to hold or someone who speaks little to no English is on the other end. This practice should also be illegal.

Where are the people who defend us, the victims?

Just received a call from this number. A voicemail was left from Agent Hawkins saying if I did not return the call within 48 hours a judgement would be filed against me. He claimed he was from the legal department. What a joke, this company keeps saying they will file a judgement against me. Why is it always on Wednesday? I will never pay old junk debt collectors. I told this call was being recorded and he hung up.

I also received a call about my daughter having money deposited in her wells fargo account which she does not have. I said I was her mom so he said I was liable for the debt since she used me as a referance and would have to pay or they would have me arrested if I didn't pay the debt. Hw would not tell me the name of his company. I told him I would ball back in a bit if I could borrow the money then contacted a lawyer friend he said it sounds like a scam of some sort or my daughter has identy theft. Which I just found out I have just last march. Be careful

I received a call from this number stating they are taking me to court and they can't explain what I owe or who I owe money to. This is a fraudulent company and they have no knowledge of my debt and what debt I have, but they are going to serve me to go to court in my local county.

Received NUMEROUS calls from this number and now they are calling my elderly Mother's cell phone.  They are SCAMMERS...any valid debt company will provide you, in writing, proof of your debt.  Use many scare tactics like "sending a sheriff" etc.  No legitimate company would ask you to go to wal-mart, put money on a pre-paid Visa and then give them the number to eliminate your debt.  I even told them I was my mother and that I had passed away and they told her "sorry for you loss but who is handling her affairs?  SERIOUSLY!!!!!   There is no AUTO BAHN FINANCIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting calls from 855-676-2518 and also another number with my local area code.  I let them go to voicemail and have yet to speak to anyone.  I find it funny because I too have had message stating that on Wednesday I'll be served with court papers.  I noticed in the postings here that it's always Wednesday.

Received a message from a "James" from Audubon Financial saying they were calling to inform me of suspicious activity on my account (listed some account number as well as the last 4 digits of my SSN...which was wrong) and wanted to validate that the "activity" was valid.  I have received calls from this number multiple times.  The other times I received calls from this number, I was threatened that I was being investigated by the FBI, was going to be served, was in violation of IRS Tax Laws, blah, blah, blah.  Anyways, this new "account activity" claim seems to be a new one vs. the threatening ones they left before.

You're absolutely right, JUST IGNORE THESE SCAMMERS. I got threatening calls from these people and have reported to FBI and Attorney General in California for Terrorism. They will be doing some Investigations on AFB . I gave the FBI and Attorney General their multiple phone numbers.

IGNORE THESE LOSERS! There is NOTHING they can do to you. Actually the FBI is starting to crack down on people such as these that are using illegal collection tactics on debt that is not even legally theirs. I REPEAT.... IGNORE THEM. There is absolutely NOTHING they can do to you. If you want to clear your conscience go back to the original creditor and make pay arrangements with them. Chances are they wrote off your loan as bad debt and that is how these people got your information.

Got a call couldn't understand her she spoke to fast something about being served and something on a Wednesday.. Not sure called from 855-676-2518 then 855-666-1468 then left an 877 number to call back didn't get the whole number because she spoke to fast...anyone else get these calls?

Caller left message at my job to call them with an associate at work. I work at a hospital in south carolina do not know of the debt and also they call in the day when Im not there. Also they are going on several different business names and also different individuals with several different numbers

These people refuse to give me an address  to write to them; asking them to stop calling me.They threatened to have me arrested and they refused to send me a requested "validation notice".  I have been hung up on about 15 times after requesting this info. i am reporting them to the FTC and the Attorney General in New York State. They are very rude and threatening!

I have been receiving calls from this number and don't know who they are. They are talking about a service of process case #31840. They also said that her name was Rita Jones from ASB associates ext 636. I don't know who these people are.
