First of all, a collection outfit is required by federal regulations to provide written proof of their claim to be delivered to the debtor by mail. NOT e-mail or fax. Only after a debtor has received this notice of validation and verified its content should a debtor believe one single word coming from a collector on the phone. A debtor should also verify the legitimacy of a collector by demanding the name of the collection outfit and its valid physical address.
Secondly, Judgements are NOT "filed" for! They are obtained after a court proceeding. Scum-bag, minimum wage debt collectors just love to use legal jargon. They like to claim that they can garnish wages too. Just like a judgement, garnishment can only occur after a court appearance. Fraudulent and/or bogus debt collectors hate it when people are made aware of things like the FDCPA & the Statutes of Limitations regarding debt.
Lastly, we just love it when a dirt-bag collector shows up here and loudly exclaims that people should pay their bills....right after he has just stated that he'd been garnished. You are one pathetic little fraud in training aren't you?
Skeff Ett Liv!

THEY MOST LIKELY HAVE YOUR SOCIAL BECAUSE THEY ACQUIRED THE ACCOUNT FROM THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY THAT YOU OWE MONEY TO. DON'T DENY THAT YOU HAVE CREDIT CARDS IN COLLECTIONS. YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORT AND VERIFY WHERE THE ACCOUNT WAS SOLD TOO. IF YOU DONT THEY WILL MOST LIKELY SELL THE ACCOUNTS TO ANOTHER COLLECTIONS WITH ATTORNEYS TO FILE A JUDGEMENT AGAINST YOU. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. PAY YOUR BILLS AND STOP DENYING IT!!!

These people are scrupulous !
They will call threading to serve papers to you.
They are just trying to collect on bogus old debts that actually DON'T exist.
Do not pay anything to them hoping you are paying off an old debt !
