I almost forgot. You should monitor your credit report. You get 1 free report/year from each of the credit bureaus so you should stagger them over the year so you can get a free one every 4 months. The *ONLY* legit website to get a free credit report is https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp and beware there are copycat websites where you will end up paying $$$ for a credit report. The website has instructions on how to get the report through the mail or over the phone as well.

amy! When you ask questions on 800notes, you *must* post as much detail as possible, like what the caller said, etc. and then come back a day or 2 later to look at replies *BEFORE* acting. 800notes can be but is generally not a chat room. You must do damage control now. I assume you sent them $$$ in advance of a fake loan. How did you send it?
If Western Union, once it's picked up at the other end, it's gone. If you've *just* sent it, call Western Union ***NOW*** and kill the wire. Drop everything and do it ***NOW***, it's a race against time to get the money back before it is picked up.
If you paid by credit/debit card, call your issuer/bank now if they have a 24-hour service, if not then first thing in the morning, tell them you've been scammed, you want them to claw the money back from the scammer, you want a new card because criminals have it and can charge again. Your issuer/bank may need you to file a police report. Bring their attention to this 800notes web page.

Consider every piece of personal info you gave them to be compromised. What did they get? SSN? Birth date? Driver's license? You should file a police report (and keep a copy) to have it on police records that you lost a lot of personal info in case in the future, a criminal uses your ID to commit crimes like rent an apartment and not paying rent. You will be on record then as having had your credentials stolen today and it will be a bit easier to deal with the scammed people who will be really mad at you for scamming them. They will think it's you stealing their goods and services and not a criminal using your stolen ID. Replace as many pieces as possible like a new driver's license. If criminals make a fake license with your ID, it will come up as a good license unless you kill it and replace it. You may want to put a fraud alert on your credit file. Just call any one of the credit bureaus (Experian, Trans Union, Equifax) and they will put a fraud alert with all bureaus. I think it's only good for 90 days, you should google and read up on ID theft, I don't know this topic very well.

I'm sorry you got hit. If you can spare the time, please write a description of what happened so others can read it and maybe avoid getting scammed.

Yes, 855-718-9788 is the number for Premier Accredited Investments but don't get a loan from PAI. Googling "premier accredited investments" brings up premier-acc.com as their website (you should *not* visit this website). premier-acc advertises loans and debt consolidation services and shows 401 E. Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202 855-718-9788 on their contact page. The US Post Office shows 401 E. Pratt is the legit address of an office building with many businesses but PAI does *not* list a suite number on their mailing address -- this tactic is typical for a scammer pretending to be a business in an office building. A legit business will list a suite number on their business address to make sure they get their mail.

I also looked up premier-acc's registration and it's registered to a guy named Miles Nicholsen in Ontario, Canada *and* it was only registered just a few *DAYS* ago 06/04 or 06/05. A website this young should *never* be trusted especially if you are thinking of getting a loan from them. Furthermore the contact email address on the registration is a hotmail address and this is a BIG RED FLAG because no legit business will use throwaway hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc. types of email addresses for a business website registration. And how come a business located in Baltimore, MD has a website registered to a guy in Canada and not the business?

Be aware that demanding fees in advance of actually receiving a loan is *ILLEGAL* as described in this FTC's warning http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel16.shtm which states: "It is illegal for companies doing business in the U.S. by phone to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver." A fee is legal if you pay it *after* you get the loan. If you agree to a $125 fee for a $1,500 loan (not that I agree with or recommend it), what should happen is the lender should take $125 out of the $1,500 and send you $1,375 but you should *never* have to pay the $125 up front before you get the loan. If you've been scammed, report to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

PLEASE STAY *AWAY* FROM PREMIER ACCREDITED INVESTMENTS! Be *VERY* careful about whom you apply to for a loan as you will be releasing non-public personal info that could be used to steal your ID. Best of luck to you.
