After checking this and other sites for the identity of this number I logged into my Wells Fargo account and checked my privacy settings. Lo and behold the option for contact by telephone was set to "yes."  I have since changed it to "no."  Now we will see.

I also have been getting Wells Fargo calls and then today answered and noone answered, just silence and then disconnected.  Why are they allowed to do this when I, as well as others above, are on the DO NOT CALL list???!!!

Tried calling this one back to hear who would answer, and was told was an invalid number.

Got a call from this number.  Never left message.

I leave my answering machine on All the time & never answer unknown Call's...
I get the same thing...
Sometimes 8 or 9 times a day...
I don't know the Number I Don't pick up...
GET an Answering Machine & let it do the Job of taking the unknown messages or No Messages ..
I Won't deal with it...
We live in a Country that the Phone Company has NO Answers to keep this crap off our Phone...

Called from this number, when I answered and asked for their name the called laughed and hung up.

Asked for me by name, I said "no thanks" and hung up.

Answered,but didn't say anything. Put phone on mute. Nobody said 'nuttin'. They must think most of us americans are dumb. Ain't gonna get my butt.

Its a wells fargo number for some solicitation. I do have an account with them but answered in Spanish

I keep getting calls from this number as well.  Whoever is on the other end only lets my phone ring 3 times (probably because answering machines pick up some time after the third ring) so I pick up the phone and let whoever is calling pay for the call.  I don't say anything -- don't even listen to see who it is.  Maybe they'll get tired of paying.  I'm also on the do not call list.

How can this be stopped?  I receive calls quite awhile to  my numbers on the Do Not Call List- this did nothing my husband keeps getting call on his cell.  I put all the cell and home numbers on this list and still receive these very annoying calls

Leave a call back number, state the reason for your call or simply stop your stupid game.

Did not pick up phone either and then decided to call back to identify caller.  Heard message regarding a Wells Fargo promotion and they would call me back in the future!  I am a WF cust and noticing that in the last few weeks, there have been 2-3 different 800 numbers calling all from WF.

I dialed this number back, and a woman's recorded voice said "Thank you for calling Wells Fargo" and that they had been trying to reach me in connection with a promotional effort.

The recorded voice continued and said that if I would like to be removed from the call list to input my 10-digit phone number.  I hesitated, but finally told myself that they must already know my number to have called it in the first place, so I entered it.  The voice thanked me and said that it might take up to 30 days to remove all information relative to that number from their information.

We'll see what happens.

Previous efforts to dial-back this number had gotten a "not in service" recording from the phone company.

I have a phone system that announces the calls audibly, and these were announced as "800 Service."  I screen the calls by waiting to hear any message that might be left, and decide whether to "pick up" or just delete the message later. Sometimes this irritating "800 service" would leave my phone in such a condition that a loud dial tone would ensue, followed by a phone company message saying, "If you are going to make a call, hang up and try again."  This is extremely annoying when going through the missed calls for the day, later on.

This number called and asked for my husband and has been calling asking for him for some time. I finally asked today who they were and I would tell him to call them. They first said they were from Bank of America and I said he does not have an account with Bank of America, so the guy then said a different company we do have an account with and I said well I'm on that account so tell me what you want. He says no you aren't and I said well if that's what you think you've got the wrong person. I think they're fishing for info. He had our address right and obviously our phone number, so I am really getting leery of these so called important calls. Especially if they change horses in midstream so to speak.

I did not pick up the phone. Do not know this number. Looks suspicious.

This phone number called and there was a very strange recording "I knew you were charging me..."  We keep getting calls from 855 area code
