Debt Collector
I received a call from this number and it was not a scam. It was a legitimate call made by a company that basically tracks you down so that other companies can sue you or collect a debt. They already had all of my information and though I declined to give out additional information the lady was helpful and explained what kind of issue I had. I had failed to pay a payday loan back in 2010 and never received a collection letter of any sort as I had moved 3 times. The lady explained that litigation would begin soon and I was to be sued by that company. I then started from the beginning and contacted the company I originally got the loan from, then got transferred to 5 different collections agencies and eventually back to the company with this number which then transferred me to Payment Management Systems where I scheduled to pay the loan on Friday. This is not a scam, I suggest always doing your research before giving someone your personal information but this is not a scam and had I just read this post and not called EVERYONE I would have been sued for 1132.09 but instead they agreed to settle for 193.37 which was 1/3 of my original loan. Please don't ignore this call, it is not a scam but do your research before giving out your info.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Report the call. Contact the Consumer Credit Helpers at 855-672-1988 with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA.  They will get the collection calls to stop .they helped me two months ago!

I had the same exact thing happen to me. The lady did not tell me who the company was, and why I was being served these papers.

Received a message stating that I would be served with papers tomorrow, I was told it is in my best interest to be available when the papers are delivered with state issued identification and if I am not available when the papers are delivered the papers would be returned to their client, and I would be listed as non compliant and they went on to say good luck to me. They did not state where they would be delivering the papers to they did not state who they were representing, they did not state who they are. This detailed message was left on a phone that does not identify who the phone belongs to there is not a detailed message on this its just say you have reached the voicemail box of phone number xxx-xxx-xxxx, if I am not mistaken by law you are not to disclose any information regarding someone unless it is the person in question, I dont know all I can say is beware. They will call from this number, and they will also call from a blocked number do not answer or call them back is my recommendation.
