keeps calling land line...every day

These people call constantly.  When I refused to answer, they left a message saying that they would keep calling.
They are very a royal pain.

These people call me several times a day. Wish they would quit.

I have Caller ID AND am on the "do not call list" yet I'm getting up to 20 calls a day from them.. all hours of the day and night!  They are ready to lose my business!

They finally responded after I answered the call, after over 30 calls attempts from them.  It was from Sharon Crow from Wells Fargo looking for a Kevin Jones.  Wells Fargo keeps calling my number (which I had for 10 years).  They use different phone numbers.  I told her to take my number off their list PERMANENTLY as I never had any banking relationship and warned her that if I get one more call from Wells Fargo, I will send her a bill for $500.  She said she will report it to her manager.

Oh, by the way. If you wish to opt out, press THREE and not one. Pressing one only opts out of their current promotional offer, and they count on people pressing one as soon as they are given the option (thereby allowing future calls for other purposes). Option three - supposedly - removes you from all future marketing efforts!

Just got a call from this number as well and it is now blocked!

They call you and tell you they are calling on behalf of your mortgage with Wells Fargo, however they sneak in the name of the underwriting firm they are actually calling from. I told them that I would prefer to call  Wells Fargo myself to inquire about the insurance policy he is trying to sell me. He made sure to clarify the name of his company and gave me their number. I said "OK, Thanks BYE!" lol.

Called the number back.  Solicitation on behalf of Wells Fargo, by Minnesota Life.  Just acquired a Wells Fargo Mortgage, so they probably want to make sure they still get the money if I die.  Gives you an opt out option via recorded message on call back.

No one else on these boards seems to have the same experience, and it's pissing me off more and more every day.

So out of curiosity, I added one to the number and called it (855-760-5947), since many companies own sequential phone number blocks.

I was greeted with a WF message saying they had tried to contact me with some unidentified promotion. I was given the option to opt-out and was required to enter my phone number... which I'm hesitant to do because, as with spam, often times an attempt to opt out verifies the validity of your number, and while WF may not call back, they will have license to re-sell my number to another party.

FYI...UPDATE...I called the 855-760-5946 number, and it does in fact belong to Wells Fargo...You get a recorded message that says "We attempted to contact you with a special promotion"...

It's definitely a telemarketing call from Wells Gargo Bank...

I received a call from this 855-760-5946 number at 2:25 PM (PDT) on Tuesday May 31st, 2011...

The Caller ID displayed "Toll Free Call"...

I didn't answer of course...

I don't have any dealings with Wells Fargo, but my Mom does - a Visa credit card and a home equity loan...both are in excellent standing, so there would be no reason for them to be calling her. Sounds like a telemarketing call based on the postings of others...

If you don't have caller ID, then get it ASAP. It's money well spent, and I'm glad I got it on our (2) house phones...

Whoever is dialing out with this number owns all of 855 760 59XX and it is clearly fraud of some kind.

Call the number back.

If you get a busy signal, add one to the number and call it (i.e. call back 855 760 5947, or 5948, even 5949. WF owns them all). You'll get a recording telling you they tried to contact you with some b***s*** promotion.

Press THREE to opt out, not one. Pressing one only opts you out of this one specific promotion, while three removes you completely from their marketing database (supposedly).

Be ready to receive more unsolicited calls though, since opting out verifies the validity of your phone number and they have the freedom to resell you to a third party. WF may not ever call you back, but your data will multiply across several other databases...

Just got a mortgage for second home in SC with Wells Fargo.  Never had business with them before.  Get calls now at all hours from this number saying they're Wells Fargo.  Called WF Customer service, they have no numbers beginning with 855. I reported it to Wells Fargo Fraud Dept.  Hope that helps.

Get AT&T U-Verse Voice and you can block the calls you don't want as easy as entering the number, click add and save.  It works.  We love it.

I wish all telemarkers stop calling, its dumb that they think they can keep calling day in and day out..

They called, I asked who it was then they said they had a bad connection and then hung up.

This number is also calling my house at all hours of the day and into the late evening.  I have my home mortgage with Wells Fargo as well.  I have tried to call the number back and just get a busy signal.  Any suggestions?

I called Wells Fargo up directly and spoke with a human; this 855-760-5946 is a fraudulent number misrepresenting Wells Fargo.  WF will be pursuing this as fraud.

Folks we can not be too careful; there are fraudulent calls increasingly; Never give out your personal information to a caller!

Hello M - how do you change your privacy settings with them?

This number calls several times a day - no one is on the line when we speak.  We are on the NO CALL list.  Our home loan is through Wells Fargo - but we do not do business with them otherwise and have no desire to!

Please leave me alone!

I checked my missed calls list and it shows that this number calls over 20 times in one day to my home phone.  I have the number blocked  but it still rings one time on my phone so I have now turned off all the phones in my house.  I have a mortgage with Wells Fargo.  I went in and changed my privacy settings to not receive any communication from them.

This number continues to call my land line every two or three days. If you pick up it sounds like a fax screel and nothing is there.  I'm on the do-not-call list. I have no relatiopnship with Wells Fargo so these bottom feeders are not comporting with the DNC list. Freekin Idiots.

Hangs up when answering machine picks up. No name on caller ID, I don't answer.
