For example, they called once last evening, and 3 times, throughout the day. The last call I answered, but as soon as there is a delay after I say Hello, I know it is a junk call and I hang up right away.

That has been my strategy, if I answer, sense a delay I hang up, or I do not answer at all.

I suppose I will have to learn to block out these 800 type numbers.
