I answered the phone call, sales representative immediately advised me that the phone call was being recorded for quality assurance.....I asked what company was this that I am talking to and that I am not authorizing a voice recorded phone call, guy says "hey you applied for a job on CareerBuilder.com and I am trying to help you get a job", I asked what he was actually selling? Then I hung up. Now have had 6 phone calls since yesterday. 855-796-2989

I'm glad I googled this today. My mom, a widow, called me about this "green postcard" she received yesterday and asked me if she should call it. That kind of stuff just gets under my skin! I think I will just print off all the bad publicity they have on the internet and mail it back to them! I know people are just trying to make a living doing whatever, but why do they have to be so deceiving? Why not just send the postcard asking if they would like a "free" vacation, then call and set up at time to come look at their resort, or whatever, and I bet they would get alot more business!!! You can have a free vacation....you don't have to buy into their timeshares!!! There are alot of companies that do that and not be deceiving about it. Anyway, I'm so glad we can just look for these things on the internet first to see if it's legitimate or a scam. By the way "Brad", hope you still aren't getting "whippins"!

Well, i didnt have the wherewithall to google this before I made the call.  I was actually expecting a delivery so I made the call.  It is to set up a meeting to go get a "free laptop" supposedly top of the line.  They say that it is how the computer company gets their name out to consumers by giving away a small number of free laptops instead of spending money on advertising.  So they try to set up a metting for you to go to a place that is going to talk to you about their company.  It has the feel of one of those time share condo things.  I listened to their pitch and they want me to drive to a metting that is guaranteed to be less than two hours long, and sit and listen to information about their company with no promise to buy anything.  But they also want to talk about "vacation deals" that their company gets and can get for you.  You are promised a free laptop as i mentioned above, and two free nights in daytona beach, and two free nights in Orlando.....   As a kid my parents signed us up to go to these timeshare meetings for a free prize all the time, and they suck.....   That along with being grounded, and getting my a$$ wipped on a daily basis for being bad are the worst memories from my childhood.

My curiousity got the best of me; I called them from a disposable cell phone and when they answered ask "what kind of packages do you deliver"  older man on the other end said " YOU called US" then hung up on me. When I called back, the phone rang for five minutes w/out being answered.  Didn't accomplish anything, but somehow sort of feel like I won this round.

Just got mine, do they think we are a buch of dopes or what?  Just waiting to hear that for shipping and handling of $75.00 they will ship me out my package that I never ordered or have no inkling of what it may be.  What a buch of dopes.  If they spend their time doing something constructive just think what they may be able to accomplish.  I wonder if OPERA got her card in the mail?

I too got a green postcard, it even includes a package number and a Track number... I'm sure it is a scam since anything that I order is done online and I receive all that kind of info from the website I ordered from, plus I don't have any orders that haven't arrived. Smells like total BS to me. If I get a chance, I'll call the number from a public phone - no way am I gonna call it from my home or cell line. I'll post an update when I do it so we all know exactly what the scam is.

Hey All,

I got a green postcard in the mail (Chicago, IL) requesting that I call this number "to schedule pickup."  The return address is "Package Services" in Whitehouse, TX 75791.

My gut instinct told me this is a scam, and a Google search confirmed this:

http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/8884725335/20

(Apparently, these same scammers use various toll-free numbers).  Don't be scammed - throw it away!
