Riiiigggghhhhht.... and I've got some beachfront property in Kansas to sell you.
Do tell-- what is the company name and mailing address?  Of course you have it, since you were served and all, and since, of course you received a debt validation letter from them, right?  Hmmmm....

It's a real company I thought they were a scam too but apparently I had a large balance owed ($4,000), gave them some lip on the phones when they called me..... guess I pissed enough people off because the owner had his locator serve me the papers and I got a judgement placed against me in court. Maybe not the most professional business practices, but be warned they have qualifications and ownership of your debt to come after you if they want.

I keep getting calls from a guy telling me to call this number to avoid criminal charges. I called the number and the people were very rude to me so I hung up and called the states attorneys office. They told me they have received several complaints from this same number and everyone is telling them the same thing. Don't give them any information!

This is to comment on what miztexas. I spoke to a lawyer and he said i can sue because it's illegal for them to do that. Any voicemail they leave do not delete it. If they call back and you talk to them try to tsle your conversation. If you don't it would be there word against yours.

Debt Collector
I have received several phone calls from an unknown phone number for the past few days. I do not typically  answer those calls. Yesterday I received a phone call with a local area code. There was a man by the name of Allen Moore who said that I have charges pending and he was hired to make contact with me and confirm my information. I had no idea of any charges pending as I have not received any notification in the mail whatsoever. He gave me this 855 number, along with a claim number and advised that unless he received a release order from the company who hired him, he was going to come serve me with my charges. I asked if he was a private investigator and he said yes and hung up. I did not call this number because I didn't believe it was true. I called my county court and DA this morning who both verified that I had no charges pending. The DA told me that if it was a debt collector, they could sue me but cannot press charges. I did some research about my rights and what happens in debt collecting.

When this "man" called back today, he left me a voicemail and just called me back again. I answered and asked him what his name was, from what company he was calling, a contact number for himself and his ID or badge number. He told me his name and that the company who hired him was Accurate (no more, no less, just one word). He told me that he did not have to tell me where he was located or any contact information, so if he WAS a private investigator (as he stated yesterday) or even a process server, he would have to give me that information. I told him I spoke with my district attorney and asked him to please only contact me through the mail. He advised that he would not and until he had personal contact with me, insinuating he was going to come to my house by telling me he had verified my address but never telling me what it was, I could contact the company. I have since filed a police report because I felt in danger of him showing up at my house and at least its documented that I complained about him to someone since I will not be calling this number. If anyone else has any other ideas, I'd be glad to hear them. I looked through my mail and cannot find ANY paperwork from a company called Accurate.

This number called our place of business seeking someone that doesn't work here. In the message that was left they used the person's name several times and mentioned that she had charges pending. They left the phone number and we Googled the number and found this site. For folks that don't truly understand their rights concerning debt collection and so forth, these scammers will definitely be able to take advantage of them. It's a shame. Anyone getting a phone call from this number should definitely report it to the FCC so they can investigate and put these folks out of business.

I was called by someone in my own state saying they have a claim and charges against me. I called the number back and got a busy signal. I call the number they left and i got a recording  saying leave my name and claim number. Is this some kind of scam or is someone trying to use a scare me to give them money. If anyone have any information about this please let me know.

A phone number from my area code called me saying I had charges against me and needed to call 855-819-1813 immediately. I don't have any known debts or problems so I highly doubt this is legitimate.

I was called from a 469 number to call this number. Seems like a giant scam to me. They refused to give me any information. They gave me a "claim number". They try to feed off your curiosity. Be warned!

My ex-mother-in-law's home was called attempting to reach my boyfriend (I have been divorced for 6 years).  Same threats and lack of information when asked as stated in the other posts.  Said this case could be criminal, civil or an attempt to collect a debt.  Case # left was a 7 digit number

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I have received several threatening phone calls from this company.  They have also attempted to contact my manager at my place of employment.  When I called them back and asked the details of the claim, they could not give it to me.  I informed them they are not to contact me again.  I just received another threatening phone call saying that this is my final warning that they will be delivering documentation in person.  I have never heard of this company via US Mail.  I asked them to provide the information via mail and they said they don't need to, but by law they have to within 5 days of notice of debt owed.

I have received calls from this number on two separate days.  The second day of calls started at 7:47am on July 1, 2013.  When I hung up after Lisa Davis identified herself, she continued to call back a total of 7 times back to back to back.  I finally let the last call go to voicemail where she left a threatening call for someone else.  I called the number she left as a call back number and a company going by the name  Accurate Processing Firm stated they do not make outgoing calls and repeatedly asked for the file number given in my message.  I stated they were not call or contact me ever again, I was once again told they do not make outgoing calls from their office.  After I would not give them the file number, I was hung up on.  I called back, repeatedly for a total of 32 calls, before I received a message that the number I was calling had been disconnected and the call immediately disconnected itself.  I called from a land line and the call went through where I continued pressing Accurate Processing Firm for their location, the type of business they themselves conduct, so on and so on.  I was once again hung up repeatedly.  I could go on and on with the details of this obviously fraudulent business or company.  I have found several addresses listed for the business which is a home in a residential area.  The address I found was 601 Chesham Ave., La Habra California 90631-7180.
BEWARE!!!
Do not give anyone calling from this number or from a restricted number with a message to contact their offices at 855-819-1813 any information about yourself of the person they are allegedly trying to reach.
