oh now they call private and say the same junk, and i dont even have a job...im disabled!

I have since found out same party has contacted other family members and left defaming message. I have reported this to FTC and State Attorney General's office. Very simple form on Internet. I suggest all do the same.

The same guy, named Devine, called here. Would not say what it was about. Just left a "case" number and phone number. This is a ploy to scare people into calling so they can further intimidate you. Do not call or speak with them. What they are doing is illegal. I have been off work from surgery and my husband just returned to work after a year layoff. We have more important things to worry about at this time. We'll pay what we owe anyone, but they'll have to wait a little while for it. And I won't be bullied.

I took out a pay day loan from Western Sky several months for about $1G.  I was paying off the loan but to Cashcall for about 8 months for a $100 bucks a month. Almost done with the interest and all which was a little over $1G.  Mind you they were calling me every month to remind me to pay, who does that!!!!!!!!.  Because I asked for one more week past the due date, they refused and now its showing up on my credit.  This is not good for me because I am in the process of closing on my home.  Anyway, I called several people because its listed on credit as being transferred to another lender.  I called about 4 different companies before I finally spoke to this group they call themselves, the Rothstein and Friedman group.  I spoke to the guy about making payment arrangements and he said double the amount for the next six months.  I am not about to do that.  This John Devine, he sounds like the guy that threatened me several months ago for this loan.  This is crazy.  Someone help me.  I have to pay double now because they are scam artists and devil worshippers.

So i need to get me a lawyer to handle this?

I called the number and it said you have reach Rothstien and Friedman and all our agents are with other clients and leave your name and number.

Some girl call me at work and said there will be some coming to my house between 12-4 for me to sign some paperwork and she it was from P&C or PNC Courrier and she gave me this number to call 855-832-6270 and she they would tell me more about whats going on. What should i do?

For a voicemail also from p and c courier service. I do have a payday loan out. But now I'm hesitant to go through these people to pay it off. It was a 300 dollar loan. Most companies will not harm for such a small amount.

Did they ever show up? I got the same msg but no one ever came; not to my house or my job....

Looks like the extortionist is trying to intimidate its victims on this site, the intimidation must not be working too well on the phone.

I didn't even get the message that was left and some guy  showed up to my job from a courier service with papers for me to sign. Thank God I was not there at the time!! That is completely uncalled for, I didn't even have time to respond! I don't even want to go back to work, i'm so embarrassed!!!!!!!

Called to say they were a "courrier" service P & C or PNC Courrier with documents for me to be delivered between 12-54 tomorrow and if I am not home they will come to my office and I must have two supervisors with me to collect the documents. They also said that if I had a dog in the yard I should secure the dog so the courrier does not get bit--and the courries Mike Ryenolds whould be wearing an orange jacket....

But would not say what the docs were for and I searched P & C Courrier and PNC Courrier and cannont find them anywhere on line.

The type of voicemail from "John Devine" calling on behalf of Rothstein and Friedman Group is 100% illegal. The threatening nature, imitation of an officer of the law, along with a fake "court" case number and false representation of a lawyer all violate laws protecting consumers in CA. I have sent in multiple calls and voice messages from this company to my own lawyer, who is taking them to court for the numerous times they have broken the law. Do not take anything they say seriously, make sure to save all voicemails and print out copies of your call logs to record the harassment. They are not dealing with a real court case, nor will they serve you with papers of any kind. Do not give them any personal information and search the county name they say the so-called legal matter has been filed, you'll find nothing.

Had a message regarding this number saying they had a courier coming between 12-4 to my residence, now threatening to show up at my job.  I have called this number 3 times and keep getting a message that all reps were busy.

Collection tactics have certainly changed over the years, I havent had a collection call of this type ever in my life.  Usually you will get a call they never identify themself and leave a number.   Now instead of sending a formal letter in the mail,  with the supposed debt info and contact info they call you on your cell or contact work stating that they have been trying to contact you and will be showing up at work or home to sign papers.    My understanding is the court will have a process server come out but they dont call you ahead of time.  I will never call them nor has anyone shown up at my work its a secure building but what kind of practice is this,  I find it very disturbing.  The website for the phone number is one page with an email address this seems very suspicious to me.

I too received a call from them, the number this chick gave me was 855-373-1879.  Told me she was coming to my job and home to give me the paperwork.  LOL.  Looked them up, ummm, they are in New York.  How dumb.  LOL.  Then I asked her for her address where she works and she called on some guy DJ to give it to her....BOGUS, BI***!  We went back and forth.  I am not worried about them.  She was an idiot.  I asked her how are you riding around in a car, yet I can hear other dumb a***s like yourself typing and on the phone.  Then she didn't know her fax number either.  GET OUT OF HERE SILLY BI***!

Tell him not to worry, they are a FRAUD, SCAM!  Name of their company is Rothstein and Freidman.  They called and told me I bounced a check and then I called back and they told me is was pertaining to a loan, that I DO NOT HAVE.  Mind you I monitor my credit daily, they are stupid, do not send them any money,  They also state they are coming to your door with papers and what not, mind you someone is ALWAYS home at my house and never a letter.  They want your money, don't give in,  I work for a law firm and this is bogus!  Beware! They probably pulled his information from a database.

People called from a bogus law firm named Rothstein and Freidman!  Phony!  First they say they are located in Georiga and now it's New York!  LMAO!  There's only like 2 people in the office and they are try to act hard.  Laughing hysterically.  Like no one knows they are a fraud.  I work for a law firm and this law firm does not EXIST.  Please beware, if you receive a call stating you bounced a check and then they state you took out a loan, DO NOT WORRY, THEY ARE LIARS AND THEY ARE A FRAUD AND DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.  Some guy named Devine or something to that extent is a baffoon!

I received a call from this number as well and they too stated that I have a bounced check, mind you I do not write checks at all which sparked me to call them.  When the man gets on the phone he is RUDE and refuses to give me any information pertaining to his company, which by law he is required to do so.  Then he mentions Cash Call, which I do not have a loan with anyone.  He still refused to give me the information.  I told him email me and until then do not contact me again!

this phone # called my husbands ex wife. stated something about a bad check. i have not written a check in over 10 years. i have no clue why they would be calling her and leaving messages for me. i call and just get a machine to leave a detailed message with my phone #... are they serious?! i googled the phone # and all i get is this person with a 1 page website created by them with no links to any other sites...
