TODAY I GOT A CALL FORM THIS NUMBER FOR A STEPHANIE. SHE CALLED MY FATHERS NUMBER AND LEFT A MESSAGE SAYING SHE WAS FROM THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT. WHEN I CALLED HER BACK SHE SAID THAT THEY HAD ATTEMPTED  SEND ME LEGAL PAPERS AND THEY WERE RETURNED. WHEN I ASKED WHAT ADDRESS SHE GAVE ME AN ADDRESS FOR 16 YEARS AGO! WHEN I ASKED HER HOW DOES SHE HAD AN ADDRESS FORM 16 YEARS AGO ON A DEBT FROM 2010 SHE COULD NOT ASNWER. WHEN I STATRED ASKIGN QUESTIN ABOUT TH DEBT AND THE ORIGINAL DEBTOR SHE CLAIMED IS WAS A PAYDAY LOAN FOR URGENT CASH ADVANCE. CALIMED THIS COMPNAY HAS DOCUMENTAION AND SURRIVELANCE, ETC SHOWIGN POIOF THAT i WAS THE PERSONTHAT OOK OUT THIS LOAN. AFER SEARCHING I COULD NOT LOCATE AND COMPANY BY THAT NAME EVER SHOWIGN INT HE STATE OF COLORADO WHERE I LIVE. SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS CALLING TO SETTLE THE DEBT AND THAT I COULD SETTLE THIS WITH 1 CLASS ON A SATURDAY FOR DEBT COUNSLING AND THEN PAYMENT ARRANGMENTS WOULD BE MADE. SOUNDS LIKE FRAUD. IF I DID NTO TAKE THAT OPTION THEN SHE WOUDL FORWARD THE MATTER TO THE COURT. I TOLD HER TO FORWARD THE MATTER TO THE COURT AND I WILL WAIT TO HERE FROM SOMEONE LEGALLY.

Received several messages from a female requesting a return phone call.  She even left a reference #.  She said she had been by my home several times to deliver papers and needed my signature.  She said that I (and she emphasized) MUST be home the next day between 12-5 to sign for the papers or she would have to deliver them to my place of employment.  So I called the number was put on hold for 12 minutes.  After I hung up and called back I was transferred to a "manager" who said he couldn't give me anymore information b/c they didn't manage my account any longer.  He wouldn't even give me the name of the company I was calling...his company!  So I hung up - waited 10 minutes and called back.  Another rep answered and gave me all the details on the debt they were supposedly collecting.  I asked him about the message that was left and he assured me that no one in his company would leave a message like that - that doing that was very illegal.  Its funny however, that the person that would "never ever" leave a message like that was the one who answered my call.  

Turns out the debt they were supposed collecting on was a debt that I paid 3 years ago.  I called the originally debtor and verified the acct was paid in full.  I even had the Paid in Full letter from 3 years ago.  Looks like this company has access to people's credit reports somehow and are calling about debts they do not own just to collect a few bucks.  I reported this to the FTC and my state's Attorney General's office.

Got a call from this number, left message saying they will by my job and home the next day I can sign papers, didnt return they call. Sounds like a scam or debt collectors.

kept getting calls even called my sons homes very smooth even threatened to go to husbands work and serve papers

Keep getting calls from this number assocciated with a company called Unified Asset Solutions. Claim to be collecting on a debt from 2006. They seem legitimate but very smooth talkers. Have read from others that this company is a scam, but the telephone number that others have reported does not match this one. However the information and even peoples names are identical.
