Event Reminder
They called me from 905-761-4543 stating it is urgent to call 855-844-5665, with regards to My Scotia Student loan.

so I called I refused to give them my SIN, so the girl on the otherside got pissed off, but I provided them with account number and etc.  Then the girl asking me why I called....Doh!

Note:   a day before I called Scotia with regards to my account (I am on medical leave).

So I told her the phone number was left with urgent message to call...and guess what she told me why I called yesterday to Scotia bank. And my response was! And?

after that call I called Scotia and the reason i called , asking why i received the call from third party? As I am still unable to move ... the bank rep told me the third party will continue to call and that is ok...my respose was "no I already called and you (Scotia) is sending me application to renew, so the new call is harsment and the same call in the future with the same intent is and will be considered as harsment". She tried to cut me off that i have to call the other number,  and then she extended the call that it is natural for follow up and they will naturally continue to call till they receive the payments...

I told her again I am on repayment assitance and the new application request was sent.  So I don't need a reminder by third party...next time they call I will record it and file a small claim court.

All banks are the same, all they care about is money and power.

Thank GOD, my account is with a Credit Union. I have enough problems with their student loan department, as well as CIBC's student loan department (as my provincial loan is through them). I don't trust banks one bit

Ok, so I found out exactly what was happening with these idiots at Scotiabank's Student Loans Department. They created a new division or hired outside help to manage their student loans and in the process they assigned new loan numbers to all existing loans. So if you continue making payments to your previous loan number, usually due to recurring payments, it would take these fools in this new department 2 weeks to reconcile it. Hence triggering calls by their "late" department but when you called in, their first support tier weren't updated with this information as technically the loan payment wasn't late but just made to the original loan number. Further, the monthly payments have increased compared to what they previously were. So if you set up recurring payments to the old loan number with the previous payment amounts, you would be making smaller payments and they would be late. Unfortunately, they forgot to explain this to their all of their staff... so one group would call and if you called back they wouldn't know what was happening. I have to say, this is pretty Mickey Mouse of Scotiabank.

It's the repayment Dept of Canada Student Loans.

After their giant F-up loosing all our information they had to change all the account numbers.  Rather than having a person call, they have a recording call, then ask you to call them urgently.  Then they ask for all your personal information (which I refused except for my name) and I just kept asking what this was about and how do I know who they are.
