They called me today twice and I just let it go to voicemail. I have been getting threats from these scams and I know I owe on a payday loan. But you can't got to jail for that. Since I was third party collector and I know the laws. This is bogus!!!!!!!!

These recordings keep calling my mobile #. They are calling from 855-851-8425. The message they leave is:
"The person registered at this phone number has had their social security number red flagged for possible fraud or mandated by the state and federal laws to try to forward this information".  It then asks you to contact Tina Martin.

My identity was stolen once. Alot of time spent trying to recover and this really scares me.  This is not the first time they called.  The last recording was different. Stating that an officer and a court of law would be making a final attempt to contact me.  NOTHING, EVER CAME OF IT.  I can only block these calls.

We are all vulnerable. We are also protected by law from these harassing calls.  Don;t be afraid to block calls and send a letter to the Better Business Bureau.

Don't ignore.. At least send a letter or post somewhere, these folks need to be squashed.

My wife and I both received a call on our cell phones from "Agent Warren" with the FBI in El Paso stating that he had some court documents I need to address immediately or "papers would be served". I was to call 855-851-9028 immediately to handle this mess I am in.

I called the FBI directly and confirmed that no "Agent Warren" exists in the El Paso office, and I also confirmed that this is a scam that is similar to the Email FBI scam.

This is an exploit of some database that has your name associated with your phone number.

If you get another similar call, just hang up.

i'm tired of ppl taking out loans and trying to beat the system by not paying them back.  i'm not saying that anyone should be harrassed, but sometimes people need a kick in the a** when they screw up.  my experience with this company was very pleasant and i'm glad they called me so that i could get my credit back on track. in fact, the debt that i owed was preventing me from purchasing another home. but thanks to the persistence of the this company, my credit is great again and i can now buy anything that i want. THANK YOU!!!

Sorry to have to tell you this, but the idiots aren't even debt collectors! And you more than likely don't even owe this debt; even if you do have outstanding debts. Ask them for badge numbers, or what school they got their law degree at

this is the second call of this type I've received this year. The 1st onen was from another number, but same type of scam. This was just this morning (4/7/11), and the guy tells my son to wake me up out of bed so he can talk to me to 'make arrangements with me to take care of the DEBT, or he'll sign off on it otherwise and I'll have to appear in court'.
The entire time there is NO mention of what agency he's from, (obviously there isn't one!!) NO mention of any clear identification to verify his identity.
What will happen anyway with this joker? He'll just find another scam to scare, or at least annoy people with.

they call my husband and tell them there name is jones and if i dont call back in 24 hours they will bring charges for check fraud. how can people like these get a way with this pretending to be lawyers when they are a debt collector.

Me and my mom keep getting calls from this number. all they say is they are officers with the law.  They keep harrasing us and say I have insufficient checks out.  I have never had an insuffisient check.  They will not stop calling.

I REFUSED, HE THEN SAYS I SEE IN THE ORDER YOU CAN MAKE ARRANGEMENTS AND THEY CAN CANCEL THE SUMMONS. I WAS THEN TRANSFERED TO SOMEONE WHO TOLD ME I OWED 732 FROM A NSF CHECK BUT HE WOULD SETTLE FOR 350 HE TOLD ME TO GO BUY A PREPAID CARD AND AND CALL HIM BACK @ 855-581-9028 EX 203. I CALLED HIM BACK AND THE MAN WHO IS SUPPOSE TO BE A OFFICER IN MY AREA ANSWERED THE PHONE I LOOK UP THE AREA FOR THIS TOLL FREE NUMBER AND ITS IN THE WEST COAST (CALI) AREA. HE ANSWERED CHECK SERVICES AGENT 205 OR 204 BUT I RECOGNIZED HIS VOICE. THEY DIDN'T OFFER TO SEND ME DOCS OR ASK ME MY ADDRESS.....THEY CALLED PRIVATE..........I CHECKD ALL THE COURTS IN MY AREA AND NOTHING IS LISTED.....THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEND A NOTICE TO YOU IF THEY ARE TRULY HANDLING ACCOUNTS FOR ANOTHER COMPANY. THEY JUST WANT "MONEY"

got a call about this too. number came as unknown but guy named agent warren stated he has a complaint filed against me and i would need contact him in regards to appear in court. If i don't return the call in 24 hours they will drop the paperwork to my home or place of employment. He left the number 855-851-9028 to call him back. i've checked my credit report and i have nothing on there in regards. i've received calls like this before and asked for them to send paperwork and yet i have never received anything. I've talked to a lawyer who says that if i had to appear in court i would receive some kind of notification from the state about my court appearance. i'm not sure what to do... any one have any ideas if this is legit or a scam?

they called my office left a message...then they called my mother who is 2000 miles away...she called me in a panic...telling her they did not want to go to my home or work but would meet me a local restaurant regarding some papers.

My wife got a call from these jokers. This must be some kind of scam.

They call me all the time and members of my family all over the state. I was a victim of identity theft and never cashed any checks. I called my lawyer who handled this in the past, he laughed and said let them file and then we will sue for damages.

they call me too.. you can get it from taking a payday loan out and not paying it and the check gets deposited and the are trying to get you for that check..they are a***oles and the supervisor is a bi***.  they supposedly give you a one chance to pay before you get filed for court papers..good luck
