Per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - proof that you owe a debt and proof they can legally collect said debt. Refusal to mail this documentation is a violation of federal law. Remember - no proof of debt in writing - do not pay!

My wife received a call from Arbitration Management Group wanting a payment for a past credit card. I called them back trying to get some info about the bill and see if they would send some documentation about the bill and where to send payment.
They would not send me anything in the mail nor could I get an address of where to send payment. I received a call a short time later from someone supposedly from G.E. Capital giving me a local #.
I called that # trying to get a address where to take the money as I don't have a credit card. They wouldn't give me an address. Funny thing, the gal that left the message and the gal that answered the phone had different names. But they both chewed gum the same way. The gum chewing sounded the same.

These scammers also called me from 757-414-2217, threatening to serve me at my work for a debt I no longer owe. Why don't they just go to work legitamatly like the rest of us. JOKERS!!!!

They have called me as well claiming to be from "pre trial" but they can't tell me which court or which jurisdiction. They are saying it is related to check fraud and they will be serving papers at work. They also attempt this from a local area code. Just ignore them, or better yet, lead them along and waste a bunch of their time, before laughing.

they left a message with my husband and said they had a warrant for my arrest. and they were a company helping out with these matters. now, knowing damn well this was not true, that warrants and police didn't work that way, cause we have a lot of law enforcement friends, I called them back just so I could laugh at them.the women answered and you could hardly understand her jibberish , I gave her the number they left she put me on hold and after 10 mins I hung up and googled the number,so here I am no return call yet. this is such a crock!DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!!!
