these people keep calling my familys number asking for me to call when i try to call back it dont work. so i give up.

I also called rogers and they told me they do use this # for bill collections. so its not a scan unless rogers is in on it with them.

i called the # back and the woman told me it was total credit recovery. she said they are a collection agency for rogers. so if you have any bill problems with rogers or an device issues this is why they would be calling.

We are getting these calls every day (1-855-870-8002) asking about returned equipment. They say they are calling from Rogers. I called Rogers (we don't have anything with Rogers) and they weren't very helpful, but confirmed we don't have any of their equipment. I'm confident it is a scam. We have called twice and never get through to anyone. I did leave a message with one person, but haven't heard back so I'm a bit concerned that I maybe shouldn't have done that. I was on hold for about 10 minutes today with them before finding this report. I guess my next step will be to block the number it is coming from which is 1-506-853-1034. The number is for a Moncton company called Total Credit Recovery Limited: Collections & Accounts Receivable. Seems a lot of people are getting calls from them that are unwanted! I have a landline but this is the only call I'm getting and it's very annoying (as I'm sure you all can agree).

i got the same call i live in Halifax and she said it was a buisness matter and she told my mom who answered the call that i had given her the number i did no such think and i got the LeBlanc one

They always appear to call around 5pm, asking me to call back, and there is never anyone there to take my call. I know they're fxxked up because they are calling my distinctive number (my kids' line), and not my main number. So I decided to leave them all a message telling them never to call me again.

I used to get the same caller (Dianne Hébert / Dianna Baird) calling on behalf of Bell Aliant 2-4 times daily! I wasn't and had never been a Bell customer!   I called Bell to report this and the calls stopped...or maybe I stopped answering them.  I am now a Bell customer (in good standing) and the calls have started again!  I'd like for them to STOP...FOREVER!

I get a call from this number 855-870-8002 every 3 days or so stating that I may have Bell Aliant equipment.  I checked with Bell Aliant, I do not have any of their equipment and would like these calls to stop.  This has been going on for over a  year and it is really annoying.  I called the number they requested that I call and got an answering machine, left my name and number and told them I would like this addressed.  No one returned my call so I called back Bell Aliant and told them what was going on so they directed me to this site.

What is the point of these calls?

I received a call from this number today too and the voicemail said the person was calling on behalf of "Rogers Canada" that you have outstanding cable/internet equipment blah blah blah please call this back.

So I called back and a lady answered who is working for the "PCR" company and after looking up the number and figuring out that it was the wrong person, they removed me from "the list" and she said it could take up to 48 hours for it to come into effect.  I'm a little skeptical as I distinctly remember calling back in the past two weeks where they were looking for the same wrong person and telling them the same thing.  I then asked the lady if her type of company also employs 'Blocked" callers to call people and she said "Yes, they sometimes do."  I asked this because I have also been getting "Blocked" calls as well and I think it's the same thing which gets annoying.

I was told to call back at this number#8558708002 by "8pm. and Ext 8265, her name was miss lablanc, she wasn`t exactly pleasant either. I left amessage she not to happy with either. I was just an rude as she was.

keep getting calls from 1-855-870-8002 always a recording saying that they are calling on behalf of Bell Alliant.. tried calling back and all you are getting. Whoever is TCR they are calling the wong person and you can not reach anyone to stop the calls. Any suggestions?

Call showed up as Private and when I answered it, I got a recorded message said they were calling from Bell and that I may have some of their equipment and could get a credit if returned. Left number to call back 855-870-8002. I phoned back and it is from Total Credit Recovery (TCR).

The calls I have been getting are coming via a "private number" and they are leaving a message that they are calling on behalf of Bell Aliant and that I may be entitled to a credit for unreturned equipment.  I left Aliant in January 2011 with no amounts owing nor equipment to be returned.   I finally returned the call to 1-855-870-8002 1 minute after they called and was told that their offices are closed and to leave a message.  I have.  I told them to remove my number from their database per above.  My next contact is Bell Aliant.  And if that doesn't work (because this isn't the first time my number has been caught up in a Total Credit Recovery database (remember Diana? - calling me with only a mortgage payment that has never been in arrears.), I will seek advice from the RCMP if these disruptive and annoying calls don't stop.

Everyday I get a call left on my machine.  I don't not respond so I don't know what it is about.  Some matter that needs to be cleared up apparently

Some friends of mine got a call for me today from this number!  They are telling them a case number and it's a legal matter.  I almost got scammed like this last year on some card I paid off.  I reported it but here we go again.  They can't legally bother my friends and tell my business can they?  I am embarrassed!  I am trying to find who owns the number so I can send them a letter to send me what the issue is and to report them to the authorities that they are harassing people I know!

if they leave you a 1-800 number, call it from a pay phone.  All 800 numbers are toll free.

Been getting a call from this unknown number for a month or two now about once a week or so, and they will leave me a voicemail if I don't answer and it is the same automated message everytime. It goes something very similar to this:

"This is a call for <Robert John ------l>, your reference number is #######. I am calling from TCR on behalf of Bell Aliant. We have great specials and promotions for you. Please call 1-855-870-8002..."

I am not the person the message says it is calling for, nor have I ever had an account with Bell Aliant. In fact I am with Koodo. Like I said, the number always comes up 'unkown' on my cell, except one time when I answered on Feb 14th 2012, the number came up 14167744000. This was the only time that this same automated message called and a number showed up on my phone from the call. After doing a reverse phone number search I discovered it is Total Credit Recovery. I've contacted both Bell Aliant and Koodo and neither were willing to help. I am hesitant to call the 800 number back as I am aware of previous phone scams that end up charging up your phone bill hundreds if not thousands of dollars after calling a number that they tell you to call back. Very annoyed.

Person from Collection Agency representing Bell Aliant has been calling my number and refusing to stop calling as I am not the person they are looking for and have never had Bell Aliant Services. Reference # 9176918. Calls are now threatening in nature and have contacted local police.

They are a collection agency and in my case the were trying to reach someone who has the identical name as mine. My credit is good and I don't owe any money to Bell Aliant, so I had them remove my phone number from their calling list. Hopefully it works. Fingers crossed.

I to got a call from this number .I called back as they where looking for a different person .I have only had this phone number for 2 months.They said they would take me off the phone list in 2 week "s.That i should not get anymore calls from them. So hope there is no more I did tell them i was going to give this number to the police,if it kept up. The number I called was 1-855-870-8002 EX 8276.

I just received a message from this number. It was an actual person who left the message and she included a reference number. She said I had to call her back by 7pm tonight for an urgent matter. Since I didn't know the area code, I looked it up and got this page. Thanks for your info on this. Now I know it is a scam and will report it.

I too have received several messages with a reference number but can never get through to these people. So annoying that they don't specify who the call is for. I have great credit and so does my husband so what's up with the calls??

I have been getting the same calls from this number for the past few weeks.  I have no idea who they are but they somehow have my name and say they are calling from Bell Aliant.  At first I was getting the automated messages but today I recieved a call from a person.  I took a message and they left a reference number and extension to return the call... was confused but after reading these posts I guess it is a scam??  Very annoyed!

I have been getting these calls non-stop for the past several weeks.  I have excellent credit with no outstanding bills so I figured it was some sort of scam but couldn't find on the RCMP or Gov`t of Canada site.  Same initial messages but no mention of my name or who the call is for.  I did try answering at one point hoping someone would eventually be on the other end of the line - but it cuts out after the message.  I tried calling the number they left and I got a recording that didn`t take me anywhere.  A very annoying series of calls.  How can we block a number that comes up as private... or how do we register a number if there is no number showing.  Just extremely frustrating but now I`m glad to know others are having the same problem.

I've had the exact same phone message...same lady's name....missing reference number etc. They have left messages twice in the last two weeks...

i am after getting this very same call at least once or twice a week for the past 3-4 weeks. No reference number and they do not ask for a name it is a recording.

I am getting the same problem. The company is PCR (something Credit Recovery). They say they are calling on behalf of Bell Alliant. But they are saying they want to speak to someone else. I just called them and they say they removed my number from their list.
