I get calls at work from this number every day, twice a day. When I pick up the phone all I hear is the click of the line going dead. Very very annoying!

855-881-6940 is in fact used by Network Solutions an Internet domain sales and service company. They have in fact called and hung up yet again twice today. Generally I put these numbers into our "Do Not Call" account with the government located at: http://donotcall.gov but on 11-26-2013 I was assured that i would not be called again.

I have called yet again today and was again assured that my number would be removed and no further calls would be made to my number. AS A MATTER OF RECORD, the gentleman I spoke with at Network Solutions was both professional and personable. I hope his efforts to have our number removed are effective. I also explained that I don't mind answering my phone, it is however necessary for the party on the other end to speak in order for us to have a communication.

I did a follow up research and found the number was associated with some very unsavory perversion site.

9:26am 11-26-2013 855-881-6940 called again today and again just hung up, no message.

12:34pm 11-26-2013 855-881-6940 called again today, I ANSWERED and again they just hung up, no communication.

12:37pm 11-26-2013 I CALLED 855-881-6940 and communicated with what I was told was an internet hosting company named, "Network Solutions" where I was told I was being called because I had a domain name up for renewal. I asked what domain name, they had no idea. I said I had no domains hosted with them however one of my hosts is merging with another company and possibly there is some affiliation so I did give her a domain name, probably should not have. She looked it up and stated they did not host that domain.

I then asked, since they are an Internet hosting company, "Why don't you do like every other domain host and send an e-mail, with the domain name, the account number and cost and time when the domain name is due for renewal?" She did not know but stated my number would be put on their "Do Not Call List". I hope so, I did not give her my number in order to be put on this list, if it is in fact even Network Solutions. I am too busy for the BS and posting here to HELP YOU! as well as to keep my own record in case they call again, I will tale the time to post on the FCC's Do Not Call list, where my number is already listed and I should NOT be receiving telephone spam!

You have a domain that is expiring.  They are calling to renew it because you don't have autorenew and/or your payment method is being declined for whatever reason.  Mine was due to a new card that was ordered a long time ago.

I have received numerous calls for the past two weeks from this number. Finally answered the call and heard a single beep. I am working to report this scammer.  Very unnoying and unnerving!

I've been getting a call from this number. When I first picked up no one was there. Now I don't pick up and 'they' don't leave a message. I'm assuming its some sort of sales-based company. Don't like the company already and I don't even know who they are. Bad marketing...

I will not answer a call that is unidentified.  These people keep calling me daily and do not leave a message identifying themselves.  I wish for the calls to cease. Thank you for your help.

This is register.com they call from this number to warn of expiring domain names registered with them by the person is listed in the WHOIS of a domain...

The message came through our company switchboard.  The recorded caller identified themselves as a process server contracted "by the court." We had never heard of the party that they were trying to reach.  However, when I returned the call, the recording said I had reached AC or ACS.  Then, when I entered their "case number," the party answering was very evasive; refused to cooperate with additional information regarding their company and hung up.

I have been receiving a call every day from this phone number. No one answers when the call is picked up.  This is an official request that they Identify themselves and describe the reason why they are calling.
