Besides my wife these guys seem to be the only ones in the world who have my special cell phone number.... :) Seems like they do complete random calling. But I get a call from them once in a while - and never answer. I have never had Cingular and use a prepaid T-Mobile plan, so I cannot even theoretically be behind on any payment.

MY Mother got a call like that from someone saying that her grandson is in jail and needs $3000. Mom told them to call his grandfather(who has been dead for 25 years!!!) You GO MOM!!!!

Called VERY EARLY in the morning and left a COMPUTER GENERATED message from 'Kerry Smith' looking for someone and wanting you to call them back if you can help them locate that person - in which I have no relation to.

It sounds like collections tactics to me.

No company information given in the message or on Caller ID

A message was left on my answering machine from a FEMALE Kerry Smith! She was looking for my grandson and left this number. I didn't return the call because I had no idea who was looking for him or why. I also figured they could find him the way I found THEM! If it's Cingular, they have no reason to find him since he's never used that company to my knowledge.

I got a call from 866-265-7927 with a reference #. I have no idea what it could be, when I called it back, no answer. I am wondering who this is!

It is Cingular Wireless I believe. It is the collection agency that AT&T uses also known as CCA.

I have been getting these calls also sometimes at 9pm and i am getting tired of them i dont have bad credit and i pay my bills so i dont know who this CCA is or what they want but I get a recording saying its important that i call concerning a business matter that needs taken care of immediately well I am not calling this number back if its so important then why do i get a recorded message instead of a real person . We are also on the do not call list.

I keep getting calls from this company. I finally called them back. They were the rudest ever! It is a collection agency. They would not tell me anything, besides the name of the person they were looking for. I asked them to be removed from their call list and he would not listen to me. He hung up on me!!

I keep getting calls from this number but, they never say anything. They call almost every day. If I find out it's Cingular I'm going to change cell phone carriers because I do use them and my contract expired over a year ago!

Calls every couple of days.  Called them today - asked if I had ATT cell - No; Verizon - Yes.  Are you behind on bill - no.  "There are a lot of people with YOUR name - it's just a random dial - looking for skip trace".  I have no idea what that means but told him to take my name/state out of their system.  The young man was very nice.  We will see what happens.....

My husband told me that we received a voice mail message today from a man who said that his name was Kerry Smith and that he was looking for a person with my former married name.  The return phone number was 866-265-7927.  Since I have already dealt with the company responsible for this phone call, I plan to again turn this complaint over to the District Attorney's Office as I did last year.  The DA's Office was able to track down the corporate office and extract an apology and a written promise that I would not receive further phone calls from their agents.  I suggest that you do the same.

This is a debit collection agency, EOS CCA, 700 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA. 02061. AT&T Mobility is one of there clients. They also assess a fee/collection cost in addition to the amount due. Caller ID only shows the # 866-265-7927 Toll Free Call. They are very persistent in there collection effort!

Time and Time again, I have asked this company to remove my number from their list.  Yet they continue to call my home. this has become quiet anoying.  When I tell them that they have reached the wrong number they are telling me that I have been removed which is a lie.  Please Help.
