just to be clear - THIS NUMBER IS NO LONGER ASSOCIATED WITH NETWORK SOLUTIONS.  It may have been back in 2011 or 2012, but now it's not.

I added a contact to my cell named "Z-Spam" (name doesnt really matter, Z just puts it at the bottom of the contacts so it's out of the way".

Then I set it so that when Z-Spam calls it goes directly to voicemail. No ringing phone, no disruption. This works well since they don't leave a voice mail.

855-881-9252 Is for Web.com who bought Network Solutions three years ago.

Web.com is a website design and value-added service company. If you registered a domain name with Network Solutions, then you telephone number is passed to Web.com.

I registered a particular domain name through that Network Solutions had on promotion. Got a call from Web.com. Told them I was merely holding that domain name for six months to a year before doing anything with it. Agent sounded like he faltered on his up-sell spiel as he realized he had nothing to offer me.

Nothing illegal or "do not call" list violation here. Nothing to be alarmed about. Nothing to see here. Please move along.

This was web.com.  I bought a domain name from Network Solutions two days ago.  They just bought register.com and Network Solutions.  The person on the other end informed me that web.com was offering to build the website for no extra cost (of course, he didn't mention the webhosting cost that would have necessarily gone with the sitebuilding).  So the call is to try to get customers to add services onto their purchase.  After I explained to him that the domain name I purchased is for a church project (i.e., not a commercial site and we would not be trying to make money from it), he advised that I could call them at anytime and ended the call.

UPDATE: After threatening to transfer my domains elsewhere (GoDaddy) and tearing them a new one via twitter. The calls have cease all together. DO NOT REGISTER domains here, they will attempt to up-sell you things you don't need. The calls will be 3 - 7 times a day. It took me all but 10 minutes and 15 years experience of registering domains to give them a verbal lashing.

I have also transferred all my clients and personal/business domains back to GoDaddy. They've lost thousands of dollars worth of business. Not going back. Nope. Never

This call came after the call from Register.com (1-855-881-6933). Two domain registrants I signed up for after leaving GoDaddy. I'm contemplating on transferring me & my clients domains back to GD if these calls persist.

Network Solutions. Calling after I recently purchased a domain name with them, probably to try and sell more crap. He asked if I bought it for business, I said personal use, so I'm guessing they're looking for business customers.

Legit call from network solutions upselling products. You should answer the phone and wait until they notice someone has actually answerred the robot dialing phone call. Then you can tell them to put your name on the do not call list.

I also got this call from network solutions - the first time they called I ignored it and looked up the number and found this page - so I answerred when they called again.  The moment of silence is just the lag from the computer dialing all the numbers and the time the operator notices someone has actually answerred the phone.  I proceeded to ask them where I can go in my account to put a notice that I do not want them to call me - and he said he would put me on the do not call list.

It's legit from Network Solutions. They're trying to upsell you services. They've been blowing up my phone 4 times a day starting at 9AM on the dot. Pretty annoying tbh..

I have dealt with several domain companies and none will give you a refund even if you cancel.  Sorry you lost your money.  What were you trying to set up maybe I could help you.  I use godaddy for all my domains, but network solutions had a deal for 2.95 so I couldnt pass it up and I bought my Cooking site DalevilleAlabamaKitchens.com come september the month before its due I'm gonna transfer it to godaddy! I'll be saying Good bye network solutions!

I signed up for network solutions and now this number calls me multiple times every day. When I answer it, they hang up. It's extremely annoying and harassing. In addition network solutions is a scam. I bought a domain there, canceled it that day, received a reference number and they sent me an email stating they wouldn't cancel my services or give me my money back.

Read the fine print on there email set up as well, they charge money every four weeks for setting up an email with them.

I called it back, the phone system stated it was Network Solutions, and I was transferred to a representative.  He asked for my phone number to look up my account info, but I didn't give it to him.  I stated that I had been receiving multiple calls a day where they would hang up as soon as I answered.  He said it was the "Welcome Department" calling, he was sorry for the issues, and that he could remove me from the call list.  I said yes, and he said I was removed.  I gave no information, though he certainly had my phone number from the caller id.

Just got a call from this number.  Answered but heard absolutely nothing on the other end of the line.  I too just registered for an NS account and purchased a domain name.  I DID purchase privacy for the domain registration...

I don't mind that NS called to confirm my info, but it would have been polite

Yep--I paid for Private Lilsting with Network Solutions and I am getting the same calls from guys who say they are with Network Solutions.  Seems strange to pay for private listing and then these guys are getting our info--I am not saying NETWORK SOLUTIONS IS EITHER SELLING THEIR INFO OR THEY HAVE EMPLOYEES SELLING OUR INFO but, something is definitely wrong and Network Solutions is the root of it

They call me at least 4 times per day. Probably more. It's getting more and more and more every day. So irritating.

I wrote them in as a contact called "Spam" and changed the ring tone to "silent." So at least I don't have to hear it.

I see they have called me 2 more times this morning already, and it's not even 11am.

I have answered a few times and NO ONE IS THERE on the other end of the phone. So I can't even YELL: "Stop calling me!"  (Which I have done any way and it doesn't help.
