Debt Collector
Hey dumba$$, the court date comes BEFORE the garnishment--at least in the US.    Might be different from where you're calling.

What bills?  Oh, you mean your bills!  Well, if you weren't such a low-life scum-bag, working for minimum wage, for a bigger scum-bag than you are, you wouldn't have all those bills. Not that it matters anyway. Scum-bags like you, that work for bogus debt collection outfits, are the worst dead-beats in the country. You don't pay your bills. What?  You didn't think we knew that?

Care to back up that post with proof that everyone receiving these calls are in debt?

Your post is very confusing to me.  However, I'm sure folks here would be glad to help you.  I have a few question

1.   How were you served?
2.   What is the name of the company that has filed a suit against you?  It will be listed under "plaintiff" in the documents you   recieved.
3.   What do you mean "wages garnished"?  You first have to have a judgement filed against you prior to any wage garnishment?  Are you sure it wasn't paperwork to "verify employment"?  If so, what is the name of the company that attempted to verify your employment

Thanks in advance

A REAL process server would know where and how to get a hold of your son.  They wouldn't be calling asking where he is, or asking you to pass information to him.  Please do report your caller to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General.

I call BS.  NO ONE gets a heads up they'll be served - the process server just shows up, unannounced!  Your HR Dept can't get a "request to garnish" your wages - not unless you've actually had your day in court, lost and have a judgment against you.  However, you say first they are going to garnish your wages and yet in the next breath, you say you have a court day now.  You can't put the cart before the horse, dearie!

Per the FDCPA, you should NOT pay any caller who refuses to MAIL a debt validation letter showing that (1) you owe a debt and that (2) your caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this DV letter within five days of the first call is a violation of federal law.  It is also illegal to threaten you with service of a court summons (unless your caller does intend to sue you).  Your caller committed yet another violation of federal law by disclosing the reason for the call to a third party.   More info here:

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.
For extortion Scam Operations, file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

Such drama Mickey! Yeah right how you've been served by this company that you can't identify. Is that the second scene of this drama? Scene 3 is when you're in jail right?

This same Mr. Jones, of Nelson & Jacobs, Law Office, 855-886-0741 ext. 7006
said they were trying to get a hold of my son, to get some urgent information to him,
that they tried to serve him in at work, then at an address, when I told them he didn't live with me
they asked that I write all this info down for him and get it to him before monday,
then not 5 minutes later, they called again asking for my daugther trying to give her the same info
for my son. When I asked him which papers, what court he could say nothing, only gave me a "case" number.
If its that important then they should get some better process servers; His voice is deep, trying to be intimidate,
and stern, a collection agency no doubt.  they can get all your info and then some, but no working numbers for them.
too bad!

I got a call from this number 855-886-0471 last week and was advised I would be served. Well the next day I went to work and was called into the h/r department with a request to garnish my wages from Nelson &Jacobs. I have tried to call now and make arrangements and all they are saying is follow the instructions on the documents. I HAVE A COURT DAY NOW. CAN THEY TAKE MY WAGES? HAS ANYONE ELSE BEEN SERVED. SO SCARED NOW.

Got a call from a Sam Wallace with Court Services! He said he called me several times and that if I didn't call back that he would be serving me papers. Their # is 855-886-0471. This is the first call I have ever received from them. I called back and got a voicemail that said that I reached the corperate office and leave a message.

Debt Collector
Got a message from a Ron Jones at 855-886-0471 ext 7006. He threatened to serve me with papers at work. I asked him to mail me a letter with the debt owed and he refused. He contacted my niece's boyfriend in another state and gave him all of our info. His harassing techniques are ridiculous and very unprofessional. If I owe you money send me a document with the debt owed if not leave me alone!
