I got a call from this number about 10:30 this morning on my cell phone. I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a voicemail. First time I've seen this number. I do use Verizon.

It's an outbound call center call using an auto dialer so if the computer doesn't detect a live person it drops the call. Only when the dialer detects a human answer do they push the call to a live agent. To answer the question of why there is no message left.

I get calls from "Verizon Wireless" daily to tell me about new promotion.  The name on the Caller ID comes back as "Anonymous" If it was Verizon, it should just say Verizon.  

Also, they ask for personal information to "verify" the account.  uh huh.  If you have my cell number, why are you calling my listed landline?  

I just added their number to the blocked list.  Now the calls won't come through.  Problem solved!

Listed as "Unavailable, I've received a call, from this number, on 11/18, 11/19 and 11/22.  I haven't answered any of them.  Each of them were received during the dinner hour, predictably.  I doubt this is Verizon, because Verizon did call, today, with a recording  about email server changes, and Verizon was recorded on caller ID.  It's probably another scam.

Call from 855-891-2100, listed on caller ID as a private caller:  I answered the phone.  A female caller asked for me by first & last name.  I said: "speaking."  She disconnected the call.

I had the same call and I called back and not thinking I gave my number address an pass code to get nowhere but then I called Verizon and they put me through to fraud right away

I received this call at 8:26PM...isn't there a rule about no calls after 8:00?

They called and hang up when I answer, then when I called back I got a chick that asked for my name, I told her she could look up the number she called and she said she didnt have the ability to do that.  We went round and round for about 3 minutes and she told me she couldnt tell me what she was calling about until I gave her my name and I asked 'You mean you were hired without the knowledge of what you are offering?  I pay my bill every month on time, there is no reason for Verizon to call me.'  They will get an expletive ear full when they call again.  My contract is up in a few months with Verizon, I have no problem going to another provider if they are going to call and have harrassing snot nosed college drop outs on the other end of the line.  

Claimed to be Verizon Wireless but they called on my business phone, of which is not serviced through them.  Very elusive and shady in answering my questions.

Verizon Wireless told me they were calling to do an account analysis to "save me money". This was after they had called 14 times and left no message and I finally got so sick of it I answered. I told them I was fine with what I had and if I wanted a change  I would call them. Now please stop calling me. Let's see if they do.

I also got a call from this number. My Caller ID showed "Private Name". I didn't answer. If it was Verizon Wireless calling, I am not one if their customers and I am on the Do Not Call registry. Annoying!

Called the number back after them not leaving a message and locating this site to find out it was Verizon, they answered Verizon and wanted my number. I asked why since they should have caller ID. Wanted to review my plan, declined..........said that if I changed my mind I have their number.

I never answer the phone for a number I don't recognize...but have the inconvenience of trying to get to the phone....Verizon....if I need you, I"LL CALL YOU

That's who it is, Verizon? Geesh, at least leave a message or say Verizon. I don't even want to answer bc I don't want to get stuck on the phone with anyone....ugh.

The idea is that they spam you with a call and then they want you to pay money to find out who is doing this to you.  Nice business plan.  Don't fall for this scam.

Screw you.  Do you really think people are going to fall for this crap.  Is this the way you get people to pay to find out who spammed you in a phone call.  Shameful.  Dont worry, you will be tracked down.

I called the # back and the lady (Jessica) answered from Verizon Wireless . I asked her why they don't leave a message. Her response was they do if there is a couple failed attempts at reaching the party. I also told her it is very rude to not leave a message and to play games with their customers. She said I was the first to complain, I asked her to search the phone # and look at the complaints on line!!! The reason for the call was to make sure I'm in the proper plan for my usage and to let me know I am ready for an upgrade. I politely told her my phone works just fine and I'm happy with what I have.

Received a call from 855-891-2100. I did not pick up the call and instead, I rang the number back and introduced himself as Verizon. I called Verizon and they do not own this number.

Just got a call from this number.. Didn't recognize it, didn't answer.,

I just got a call from this number this morning, and when I went to answer it, it disconnected.  I then tried to call it back and it said, "Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless....."  It seemed to be some promotional thing.  After the automated message played twice, it disconnected again.  If I receive calls from the same unknown number repeatedly, I just block the number online.  I never got so far as to hear a live body, and if they call back and ask for info, I just tell them to not call again.  That usually stops them from calling back.  Legally, they can't keep calling you once you ask to be removed from their list, or they can be reported to the Attorney General's office.  There are scam artists everywhere.

Please stop calling my number day and night.  I consider it harrassment.

So we got a call from this number.  THey hung up. I called them back and they said thank you for your interest in Verizon wireless and wanted my info. I would not give it to them but said that I recieved a call from them and wanted to know why they are calling my house. He replied that they are calling on behalf of Verizon to gather information. I asked if I was speaking with Verizon wireless. He replied that they are a company Verizon used to gather their info. That's when I hung up on them. No way will I give them any info. So sick of these places! I refuse to be sucked into their stupid scams.

After a loud Fax type beep, the woman said she is calling from Verizon wireless to update my account.  She needs my information!  They have all my information!  I am reprting as a scam!  If it is Verizon Wireless, why are they calling on my home phone?
