Did they ever respond after you left that voicemail to contact your lawyer??

On Friday June 28, 2013 I received one anonymous call and two calls from (855) 790-0093 at 2:51PM CST. Being that I was at work and did not recognize the number I did not answer so a voice message was left on the third call. In this message a female voice identified herself as Sophia Rogers, a process server. Ms. Rogers claimed to have received a fax that morning with my contact information on it to serve me with paperwork at my office or home for fraud checks. Ms. Rogers did not identify the company she was calling or behalf of or leave a call back number where she could be reached to make arrangements to be served with the paperwork she claims to have in her possession. She did however leave the phone number (855) 790-0093 and case number ***. By the time I got home on Friday evening I was told by two different relatives that this same woman had contacted them multiple times and left the exact voice message notifying them that I had written fraudulent checks and that I will be served with legal paperwork. These numbers are *** and ***. I called this company back this morning to inquire what they are after and on what basis and why they hadn't notified me via mail rather than harassing me and my family members and leaving voice messages. I wasn't surprised when i did not receive an answer but yet a recording identifying themselves as Shadow Creek Capital open on T-F from 9am to 7pm so I left a voice message notifying them that if they have any legitimate basis to the claims they have made (as I am unaware of any such claim) they need to contact my attorney directly.

I received the same call for months.  Never giving a name to the company. I asked to have legal documents sent to my address they refused. I asked for a address to mail payments they refused to give me the address and said I had to pay a certain amount. the woman I talked to said she was going to transfer me to the so called lawyer. When she supposely transferred me it was her with a smaller pitch voice. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. Today they called my sister's cell phone saying its in regards to my criminal background. My sister asked how did they obtain her number and they said researching people I am associated with. The woman named names, people I do not know. They use google as their research I told her she's stupid to believe if thats the research she relies on. I had to change my number. FED UP!

same as others....threating to call work, etc....what do you do? Tell your work to expect a call; and then, no call...?Tuff keeping a job, period. dont need extra stress

these folks called me about a bad check too. i dont do checks either. they have called me twice once last week and once this week. i got the call today. i havent spoke to them at all. i felt it was a scam. how could i go about sueing them. i was just reading this in this last post. these people are scam artists. please tell me what to do. thanks!!

Don't worry. Just do not speak to them or make any deals. Tell him to send it in writing. Once you speak to them you get hooked in. Don't give out any information. There are attorney services that sue these people.  IF you have ever taken out a loan at a check cashing place they may have gotten your information from them. It could be a scam. I spoke to an attorney about this and they do sue these people. They just settled a multi-million dollar law suite from check cashing people who charge large interest rates. I was in a class action law suit  against them and got over 2 thousand dollars against these people.The call I got today stated "Private Caller" with the same kind of message you received. A process server serves and they do not warn.

Just got a call from the "Hot Check" people. The guy stated that he wanted to meet with me in person or he will serve me. Process Services do not warn people--they just show up. The caller ID states "private caller. I will not call these idiots back. Can you imagine meeting with some one you don't know and what could possibly happen? Don't speak to them--then you are hooked in. Could possibly be from a check loan company who has a hired gun to collect. If I owe anything, I want to see it in writing.

Some person who only left their last name called my employer and said they had a case against me for fraudulent charges. I am so upset and I don't know how to stop them from calling.

I just got a voicemail from the same number saying I have hot checks and I KNOW I DO NOT. This has to be a scam.

I' ve been getting these calls for years. I called the police because they used the none emergancy poluce number to call me. The office told them if they ever called me again he would testify in court against them because the officer heard all of the voicemails even the ones with them claiming to be law enforcement. They trying to scam people out their tax refund.

ye got the same call as well. it is some type of collection agency. stating the same thing that they were going to serve me at home and work. i have been unemployed since last year so good luck serving me at work lmao. and it is illeagal to say your going to jail and you will be serving someone. noone tells you you are going to be served. noone makes an appointment to meet you to get served lol. and they also keep harrasing my ex in laws and the ex in laws are about to sue the company for harrasing them.

I got the same message today, saying I was going to be served at work or home gave a case number and left personal information which is illegal it is collection agency pretending to be something else, if you going to be served they don't call you to make an appointment with you, this guy is a fool don't call them back.

I rec'd a call today from this phone number regarding a family member.He said he was from the Plaintiff's office and gave a case # to reference. He also left personal information as to what the call was about. He also called another family member and left same message.

I also received a call from this number in regards to another family member of mine, the previous person is correct they did tell me personal info about this member and said they were an investigator from some finance company it was inaudible.  I will not be returning their call.

This is adebt collector...they will threaten you with jail time, and from what I am told they are not licensed or bonded. They are shady and you should not give them any information at all. I filed a complaint against them with BBB and I will be filing other complaints and checking my rights tot ake legal action against them as they have left personal info on my parents and my boyfriends voicemail

I got a call from them this morning stating I owe a loan n being prosecuted if i dont pay it back...told them to stop calling me at work n they said that i have 3 hours to give them a call back or else. I googled the number and it shows nothing in reference to it. Is this really real or are they a scam bc they knew the last of my ss# n DL. I am worried concern bc they know some of my info.
