My Grandmother received the same call from "Tiffany"  today.  When I tried to call back all I got was an answering machine.   I work in the legal field and know the civil lit process so it sounded extremely shady.   I too have filed a complaint against this company.

I have received 2 messages at work, 9/13 and today 9/16. "Tiffany" on Friday said she was the process server for Amero and that I needed to call them back immediately or she would show up on Saturday 9/14 at my place of work with the summons. Today "Mrs. Stevens" left a message with a co-worker that they are going to serve me at work with a summons unless (naturally)  I call them back, so they can extort money from me illegally for a fictitious debt I do not owe. Never heard of these clowns, nothing in writing. I am not intimidated. They can pound salt until the end of time.I have filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Board.

My statement is if you were really reputable why have someone call you from a blocked number to intimidate you into calling to "help" yourself?

My wife received a call from a Blocked number, didn't answer, they left a message telling her that she was being summonsed for court and to call this number.  She did, a woman answered who transferred her to a man who told her she was being summonsed.  He asked her to verify her DOB, which she mistakenly did, then he said "Do the numbers 3640 mean anything to you?".  She said no, and he said "Those aren't the last 4 of your social?" and she smartly said no and didn't say "No, mine are XXXX".  Then he said "I must have the wrong person" and he hung up.

My guess is for the few people who do confirm the DOB and then correct the last 4 of the SSN, the scammers now have this important information and can use it to call places and confirm the victim's identity, thereby starting the process of identity fraud.

Yes, got a call from some Richard cortez. haven't called him back yet. sounds like a bill collector. he also called my mom home, cell and my brothers cell. that has to be illegal. Im calling the Illinois attorney general Monday to see if I can get the company info from her.
