Got this in the mail today.  Just wondering how your meeting went and if you actually got the cruise.

Thanks very much.

Nothing in life is free - bunch of scumbags scamming people - If I want to go on a cruise I will pay for it myself - throw the postcard in the garbage it's not worth the paper it's printed on

The fine print on the postcard says they aren't affiliated with Carnival Cruise Line, but Carnival is a "major supplier". Good luck to any sucker that falls for this one!

I get these at work all the time and noticed the number is similar to one I receive at home sometimes, so I looked up the company name, and here is what I found out: They go under different names, Olympia & Serv Asyst are the two main ones. They are a professional solicitor company out of Ohio. Companies (like Travel Agencies) and Charities will call them to try to professionally solicit the material they give them. The bad part is, if it is a solicitation for a charity, however much you give, a big percentage goes to the telemarketing firm placing the call. My company got duped on that. It's so much easier to give the money directly to the charity and not to these people. You'll never know how much actually went to the charity. Be careful....

My husband and I got this same postcard a couple of months ago. We decided to see what they were pitching, so we went to the meeting. They had a good pitch, but we were not going to buy REGARDLESS!! We went soley to get the "Free" cruise. Well we did everything they said in order to get the cruise. Well it has been 3 months since then and we were supposed to have our "Free" cruise by 8 weeks. Well needless to say we are still w/o our "Free" cruise. Funny thing is that on the bottom of the form it says s FAQ is "Can I bring this paper in or call someone to ask questions about the offers before I choose? The answer is NO. This info is on the form that we were supposed to fill out to get our "Free" cruise. Go figure....

I actually plan on going to this tomorrow (May 30), they are approximately 20 minutes from where I live.  Suppose to meet at the Holiday Inn Express and there are supposedly no exchanges of money.  You have up to a year to use the cruise (which can be Carnival or Royal), and yes, you have to pay port charges and taxes (at the time of booking).  They (supposedly) want to entice you to use their travel agency for future bookings and THAT IS IT!

Before you leave, you will receive the voucher for the cruise, which does depart from Bayonne New Jersey.

They call you back and provide you with a gift claim number and table number your suppose to sit at upon arrival...

I will update this information on Monday of next week with the bottomline.

They say they are not a timeshare or a land sale offer, but again, they are trying to get you to use their up and coming travel agency for all your traveling needs.

P.S. Many times I check with the better business bureau on companies that advertise like this...you can either put in their name or their phone number.

World Vacation is the outfit out of California that I talked to.You have to listen to a pitch for 60-90 min first. It's a promotion deal like the ones you see for Vegas.Foxborough is where I had to go and NJ was the port of departure.

called the no and talked to a sales person that said you have to go to a sales pitch promotion for about an hour. She couldn't tell me what it would cost me to go on this free cruise.

I got the same postcard. Definitely shady! I called the number, got a strange ring about 2-3 times. An automated system picked up and asked me to "hold while waiting for the next available operator". The "operator" picked up and answered, "Hello, how may I help you?". Anyone who answers like that without a company name has got to be shady! I hung up.

I haven't called yet either, but I received this postcard too... I'm really thinking it could be a telemarketer...

I got one too, and while enticing, I'm skeptical.  I will call tomorrow and see what it's all about.  They'll probably want you to pay the port charges and taxes up front, and then a fee for booking, and by the time you're through, the price will approximate what the cruise would have cost if you bought it from Carnival.  But we shall see.  I'll report back after I've spoken to them.

I am not sure what company owns the number, but I just recieved a "Free Carnival" cruise postcard in the mail with the same phone number to call. Yet, in the small print is says "registered in the state of Florida as a seller of travel" & "This is not affiliated with the cruise line listed". So I am guessing, the number belongs to just another scamming tellemarketer that once your in, you fall into their debt.
