Just tell them please hold and put the phone on your radio with  music or talking playing loud and they will get the message and stop calling. It works.

Got several calls and no one on other end.

Just got a call from that read New Jersey 856-000-0000.  Phone rang 3 times then when I said hello no one was on the other end.  Not sure what this was about!  How can a number read with 000-0000 on caller ID?

JUST CALLED AND SPOKE VERY FAST , SO FAST THAT I COULD NOT GET A WORD IN . I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO BE ABLE TO ANWSER MY BUSINESS PHONE WITH OUT THE HEAD ACHE OF A SALES PERSON OR SOMEONE FROM OVER SEAS TELLING ME TO BUY THIS OR THAT , I WISH THEY WOULD JUST LEAVE ME ALONE .

send that bill and anyother written correspondence to your post master general, yours and the origin state attorneys general and file a complaint with the origin BBB.

If you get someone, ask like you are interested, be sweet as pie,  get their company name and a contact number by saying you can not provide any information without getting their contact info first for your records. They will hang up unless the caller is new to the job. He/she may be dumb enough to give it you.

NEVER use the word YES, or any type of word indicating confirmation. I always very clearly tell them to not call this number AND that I don't want their crap. Use contractions so they can't remove the 'not' from their recording.

Or just hang up without saying anything. Or use a whistle or airhorn on their slimey a***s.  I have one futures company that used to call all the time and they were a**les. Their return numbers work. So I started calling back, placing myself on mute, going into their VM and just letting them fill up with silence. Finally got the president one day, gave him an earful and they haven't called back. Knock on wood.

If you do get some kind of bill in the mail send it to your states attorneys general office and the US post master general. This is mail and phone scamming. If you actually get a business name, make a report at the BBB where the letter/invoice came from.

This all takes a few minutes of your time. Everyone of these sites makes it easy to report.


and please for the love of all that is holy never give ANYONE your personal information over the phone.SSN/DOB, bank info, not even your real name. Just tell them your name is Snookie Situation.

Oh and you can report that number to the state of origin attorneys general office as well. Unfortunately, these scammers come through on either trunk numbers or disconnected numbers which is why you can't call them back.

Why not ask them for their real number and offer to call them back, then they can ask you questions.

Got a call from these folks today. I let it go to VM, and the telemarketer, apparently wanting to get some credit for spending time on the phone, sang a little song. Made me laugh. I wish the phone company would put a stop to these sleazy businesses (using an obviously spoofed Caller ID number), but it reminded me that there's a human on the other end who probably just needs a job.

Received a call this morning and she asked if our address was the same, we are an apartment complex. She asked if this information is correct and I responded yes the address is correct. What happens is they record the "yes" then ad it in to a question such as would you like us to post your info in our business directory. You wont hear that part. They ask your name and add that also so now it goes "woould you like to buy our directory?." Then your recorded " yes." Next " and your name for authorazation" your recorded name is yes. They once charged us over three hundred which I never paid. They threaten collections and I came back with how about fraud charges. They did not disclose this call being recorded they love calling west coast. It is a scam, you can't call them back either. East coast especially Jersey does this. Another scam is cmc chemical selling concrete cleaner. They are all rude. They use different nationalities, talk fast, this time was an african American. Just hung up on me. Don't pay them if it goes that far. Fight fire with fire on this one.

i just received a call from this number as well as several other times .  decided to pick it up this time but did not say anything.  i proceeded to hit ####### and a guy yells out...why are you doing that, that's not right.
i then proceeded to do it some more but i think that call had actually dropped already.
got alot of satisfaction out if it.  i remember reading about this tactic.

Got the call today, again. Spoke with a nice gentleman who apologized for the multiple calls and told me he was putting my number on their do-not-call list and if I were to get another call to speak with the "supervisor"... It is obviously a telemarketing group with good personnel like this guy and too many bad personnel selling whatever. Telemarketing should be illegal as a violation of privacy.

I got a call today (2 times) the last one was on my voicemail of a person ..... BREATHING. WTH is right???

They call everyday and nobody is there a**holes

THEY CALL ALL THE TIME!!!   In a total of 8 times they have called.. or more.. one time it was to advertise on t-shirts for a local school... onetime it was to advertise on paper bags for the poor... one time it was to put us in the yellow pages.  one time it was to get our name on flyers.  They don't even have the correct address for us.  The man who called was really nasty and called me stupid.. THEN the next time they called and I saw them on Caller ID... I told hte lady to stop calling us to take us off their call list or we were reporting them.. They told me they are calling everyday till I tell them our correct information.  They said.. WE WON"T STOP!!!!!  till you tell us your address...  really.. I am the only one who answers the phone.. I would love to tell you people where you can stick it EVERYDAY!!!  Then the last time they called the lady called me a dumbass and that she would keep calling as well till they got what they wanted.. OUR INFORMATION!!!!!!!   GAME ON!

These a** holes calling me from 856-000-0000 call me every day , even on the weekends, When my phone rings I run to answer it and they never say anything, sometimes there is nothing on the other end and sometimes I can hear some one, I say hello several times then they hang up. I wish the government would have balls enough to stop this s**t. You can bet is it was a congressman or a senator they would put a stop to it. Us poor working people can't even call them back and tell them to stop calling. All numbers should work both ways. I wish I could get my hands on them !!
