I got a call from a private # and identified himself as Reuben Mike -with a heavy accent- and he was from Microsoft technical support. He claimed he could trace illegal activity coming from my computer and he needed me to check it. I told him I was not giving anybody access to my computer. He told me to go to my computer and I could see it for myself. He led me to the start up menu  and type in "eventvwr" and asked if I was typing.. I told him no but I was writing it down and I wanted a number so I could call him back to confirm who he says he was. He gave me a number1-866-682-0649 and when I asked for a case # or a file # he said I could just ask for Reuben Mike and to call right away because he was waiting for me. I delayed calling and in less than 2-minutes he calls me from 521-1916 and asks if I tried calling him .. I say not yet and let him go. I then call the number he gave me and I get immediate cheesy music and Then I believe the same guy answers and says hello Mitchell speaking from technical... hard to understand. I just hung up. A moment later "mitchell calls me from 856-200-8080 and says did you just call and hang up I said yes and asked him to clarify who he was representing and he said Facebook Technical. I told him that the Info I was given was different and I wasnt interested. Definate scam Not sure if I should call the police but this is not acceptable.

The caller called him self Ricky Martin and said he works for Microsoft but don't fall for it. They'll tell you that you have viruses on your computer and would like full remote accuss to your computer. What ever you do, don't fall for it. They'll have full accuss to ypu computer and copy all of your personal info from passwords to banking info. Hanging up won't help cause they will call you right back, your best bet is to lead them on letting them thinking that you are doing what they ask but in the end let them know that you recored the call and traced the number. From there they should hang right up.

I just received a call from this number also...from William Lee or at least that's what I think he said through his very thick accent. Also told me that he was calling from Windows Support and something about how they have been receiving reports from my computer  and being hacked or some such nonsense...He started to tell me about going to me computer, I told him I wasn't near my computer and I needed a number to call him back, he gave me 416-905-3536.
I checked here first...I'm not calling back.

Got a call at the house like, claiming my cumpter has been hacked and i may lose my computer if i don't do anything! couldn't understand him much, P*** accent !!! but claimed to be from microsoft or something like that and wanted access to my computer!

BEWARE !!! if you allow them access to your computer they may gather all info (passwords, credit card info) install crap and view personal info at any time and copy your files and stuff

What they are doing is tantamount to extortion unless you "cooperate". Let them know you are aware they are running a scam and  have alerted the authorities. If that does not work, have your phone number changed to an unpublished one.

They called one morning at 9am. I was running late to take my child to school. It was very difficult to get them off the phone. They said something was wrong with windows on my computer. Told them I didn't have time. I had to be aggressive to get off the phone. They called back Saturday morning at 8:13am. I was not pleased with this early call. They claimed it was important. Hung up on them. They called back at 9:41am. I had a yelling match with them then hung up. They called back at 9:44am demanding an apology for disrespecting them.  They threatened to keep on calling unless I apologize.

Is this harassment legal? Is there a way to stop these people from calling? I find it disturbing that these lunatics have access to my number to harass me as they please. These call centres should be eliminated.

I received a call from this # today. He said that I was having problems with my computer and that he was from microsoft. he seem very urgent and wanted me to go to my computer.


my caller id said Positive Energy   1-856-200-8080  

I asked him for a call back # he gave me 1-855-731-4936  I think he said his name was Kevin he was very hard to understand.
I have had this kind of call before and I would never give them information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That number just called here but I didn't answer the call.
I don't answer numbers that are unfamiliar to me regardless.

Please do not allow the above phone number to call me. The person says my computer needs to be checked. Nothing is wrong with my computer. I keep get such unwanted cals. How do I go about stopping
such calls. Very irritating.

This morning I received a phone call ... guy said he was calling from Windows and that hackers were affecting my computer or something ... and with an authoritative voice said, "GO to your computer"!
I said he was lying; there was nothing wrong with my computer and hung up.
Why I was so assertive and brief?  I've have received several phone calls telling me that I had a problem with my computer!!  NOW I am aware of these scams.  They prey on vulnerable people.

Just got a call - said they were from Windows Support and were calling about my computer.  Definite scam - I don't use Microsoft products!

I got a call from them. It is an auto call and no one answer until they confirm a human is answering. I my case they where claiming to be Windows Support but I had heard of this scam before and also I am an ex IT specialist so I know that Microsoft does not call customers directly.

I got a cll from this number mentioning that my laptop is been hacked and they want $38 to fix it.

John tried to sell me Rescom Energy as an alternative electricity provider. He claimed to know nothing about the Do Not Call Registry. He told me to contact his boss at 855 565 7283. I did, and Rescom promised there would be no more unsolicited telephone calls. Some how, I have doubts this is the end to these interruptions.

Called looking for a person who once had my phone number. Would not believe me when I told them it was no longer the person s phone number. Called me a lier and said "don't play with me".

They just called me less than an hour after I got my new home phone from Verizon installed. Think about it: they randomly picked a number which had just became available. What's the odds...

Anyway the guy who called me claimed that I do not have to change utility provider to save money on my energy bill. I told him I was not interested but he was quite aggressive and persistent. But me too, so I talked even faster than him that I was not interested and insisted on hanging up. Hahaha...

Auto call every night. Will try to locate them and ask for $1,000 as we're on the do not call list

caller ID says positive energy, left no message just a ....hello, hellllo....and hung up

same here, rang the home phone but left no message. I'm suspicious.
