Called and said from some police association. I told him I give to local organizations periodically. He asked when was the last time I gave. I replied I wasn't sure I give periodically throughout the year. He rudely asked again "but when was the last time you gave." So I rudely replied back I wasn't sure. Then he said "fine have a good night."

Phone asked for someone in my household. I asked who was calling. they responded "That's OK, I'm good, Bye bye" then hung up.I called Verizon they said they have had a few calls about about this and that it was a scam. Verizon said one customer said the caller claimed to be an American stuck in another country and needed money for a plane ticket home. To report this number to Verizon call the Unlawful call center at 1(800) 518-5507.

These are the bottom feeders, they're NOT Police Officers, they are scam artists. If you'd like to donate to your local Police Organizations look up the PBA or FOP. They usually solicit via mail not via PHONE. What really bugs me is they were obviously using a list of some kind as they knew my first and last name!

This is a scam, they are not the police calling for donations, if you really want to donate to the local police donate to the PBA of the FOP and they usually do it with mailouts not phone calls

They asked if I wanted to make a donation to the NJ POLICE. I asked to be removed from their calling list. Then he asked if I could donate $100.00.
