Just got a call from this number, too (2:29 PM EST). I didn't answer it because nobody from 856 should be calling me. I'm glad I didn't answer it, from what Alex reported.

I was called by this number on 8/21/08-just found it in missed calls. Does anyone know how to stop them from calling. Is there a do not call list for cell phones.

so i was knocked out(sleep) then i woked up and there was a missed call and it was from dat number i didnt care dat much cauz i dont know nobody over there. So then i went to google and searched this number and now i know wat it is and i dont care but it all good.

This number came across my cell phone, and I answered.  I got the message as everyone else has, and it prompts you to press 1 to speak with a rep.  So I did.  The poor young lady who answered the phone then asked if I wanted to be transfered to different departments regarding warranties, and I told that I actually wanted to file a complaint.  I expressed that if her company EVER called me again, that I would file a harrassment lawsuit against them.  She expressed that she heard me loud and clear, and then I hung up.  Let's see 'em call me again.  I dare them.

Got a call from this number 856-603-9986. I Didnt answer it. This was the 2nd or 3rd time Ive got a call from this number.

Just got a call again from the same number you guys got...twice this week already. I won't bother calling them from my cell or from my home phone. They'll probably just take your numbers and give them to another scam artist like them.

When I called back from land line, it was "busy" a few times, like Nicole above.
Half-hour later, I got "... will be placed on Do not call list...", like Nicki above.
Yup, this merchant needs to be stopped.

Received two phone calls today.  One on my cell number and one on my land line.  Both calls were recorded messages about "your car warranty expiration"
The cell call came from this 856-603-9986 number but the land line call came in from a 714-682-8307 number.  This last number, when called, has the "apology" recording and states that their intention was only to reach business numbers and to press 1 to be removed.  ALL LIES.  We know their intention is to scam individuals not businesses and I am certain that pressing 1 will only result in exercising my index finger.

Please call your local police or consumer units in the local District Attorney's Office and report the activity.  These calls are fraud and the person(s) running them need to be stopped.  Pity the people that are buying the scam and giving them money.

I just called it back and received exact same message as NICKI above.  How strange that recording apologizes--or should I say congratulates--us on graduating to Don't Call status.

I just called it back several times and finally it went through, I reached a recording that said 'We are sorry for the inconvenience, by calling this number you will be placed on our 'Do not call list' please allow 24 hours to process. Thank You'
We've been getting this call for months, this is the first time I was able to get through! WHOO HOO!

Ive been getting this call for a few months now on my old cell phone.  I switched to a new carrier and phone number 2 months ago and just got the same call on my new number.  this is b.s.

Why doesnt the FCC do something about these callers? I just got a missed call from this same number at 12.14pm central time. This site and others that let you moan and groan and practically "whine" about these calls we constantly get from ever-changing numbers is great and all, but what good does it do if the people who make these calls just keep doing it from different numbers?

WITH ALL THE TECHNOLOGY WE HAVE IN THIS DAY AND AGE, YOU THINK THAT SOMETHING COULD BE DONE TO PUT A STOP TO ALL OF THIS.

I got a phone call from this number AND from 817-385-4531 about two days later. I checked up on both these numbers and they seem to be saying the same thing. It's weird because before this Time Warner was soliciting my number as well after I just signed up for digital cable through them...I wonder if they have anything in common...

this number called on my brand new iPhone 3G.. the phone is for data/text use only so i'm not interested in using any minutes.. didn't take the call, but did look the number up on Google and found this site.. my girlfriend has mentioned that she's received calls on her new SideKick phone about car warranty expiring.. how do these people get newly activated phone numbers??... anyhow, thanks for sharing!

Who are this idiots? How come the FCC is not doing anything about it... I get the calls on my Work Cell, home cell, home phone and it is always about my car insurance about to expire.

I keep getting getting calls on my cell PHONES. My personal phone, my childs phone and NOW my WORK PHONE. Can't something be done about this?
