I have been rec'ing these calls as well. They do have my personal information, even information from 2003. I contacted an attorney John Varley and he took care of it. The callers will not give up thier contact information, fax or addresses. My attorney is doing all the follow up. The best part is I feel like I finally got the last laugh.... Oh yea and today's name they used was Tony Scott. :)

I got a call but all there was was a voicemail with people talking in the background but no message left for me directly. I've had these calls before. Always idiots with foreign accents reading from a script.

This person calls everyday and says his name is Jack Williams. He speaks with a Indian accent and can hardly understand him. I just tell him I'm not in, he leaves his name and number. Today the caller ID showed the call came from Vitelity, LLC.

Getting calls from either a Jack Williams and maybe his wife Jeanine Williams from the same 856-946-1550 number both are threatening and wish me the best of luck if I do not call them back. They say they are from Public Consolidation Services.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.
Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.
If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller?s instructions. Rather, you should:
?Notify your banking institutions.
?Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
?Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
?File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:
?Never give your Social Security number?or personal information of any kind?over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
?Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
?Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.
?Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.
?Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.
?When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statements

This person who says his name is Jack Williams with a heavy accent keeps calling my work. When he ask for me I tell him that I'm out of the office, because if you talk to them they don't listen and they just threaten you with things that are not true. I don't know how they get my information but I don't owe anyone anything. I don't have time to talk to them at my job and don't won't to risk losing my job. I don't know if anything can be done but I wish someone would try.
Very upsetting.

I get these calls like clock work every month, I usually ignore them, but every now & then I have some fun and ask what ever agency their pretending to be why they are calling me & usually don't let them get a word in. The last couple of time they say they are calling from DCFS, well, since I have no kids, there is no reason for DCFS to call me. Really had them sputtering that time. Figure if their going to waste my time, might as well have fun with it.

They call my clients all the time. I am pretty sure these are the same scammers that prevent to be bill collectors, They call from a buy phone room and use overly American sounding names like John Johnson and they often will say that they are a police officer and going to go and arrest you. They change their phone numbers constantly. You can just ignore them

Somebody needs to investigate this individual as he is rude, obnoxious, and threatens the people he calls.

Someone named "Ryan Davis" (with a heavy foreign accent) called saying that he represented Public Consolidation Service and that I should call him before my file was sent to the Legal Dept. I have gotten other calls from this same "Ryan Davis" and with other English names (the foreign voice is the same) from a variety of numbers. Although he gave 856-946-1550 as the number to call, my voicemail service recorded the incoming number as 21977773585. This is too many numbers for an American number, so it has to be from outside the U.S.
