They left brief message "Validate your Google listing"

to many different answers here. some say tele a**les and other say a debt agency. either way I think "get a real job" has the right idea. Use a blast horn on the b*****ds.

They ARE NOT GOOGLE. Google will not call no one to update their listing. It is impossible that it is Google as they offices are in California.
They are scammers phishing for stupid people to say yes to their questions so they can say you approved the order and you'll receive a bill for $500 in the mail

Hung up...Do not answer most of the unknown calls..When I do..I scare the c*** out  of them by answering **County what is your emergency***!!!! they don't call back!!!

I got a call from this number and when they heard my voice they hangup it is being happening a lot lately,

Calls and when you answer nobody there, then it hangs up. Stupid robot calls. Now the scammers are even too lazy to call you in person.

Received call 11:17 today.  The caller hung up.  Clearly not legitimate entity.  My landline is fwd to my smartphone.  I know when this number calls again that they called b4 and hung up.

I actually answered, a rare occurrence, and the caller sat silently then hung up. Good, one less idiot to talk to today.

They called at 6:23PM, I answered the phone, no one on the other end responded.

They say they are affiliates with Google.  Called multiple times.  Told my husband that without their google update no one can find us when searching online.  I called them back today.  The guy could barely speak English. Idiots.  I googled myself and there we are big as day!  He asked me for business name...really? Kept trying to say he googled us and we aren't there.  I kept questioning. He finally said sorry for inconvenience (I think) and hung up. I called back hoping for English speaking but got the same person!  Told him to remove the number or they would be reported.  He said he was doing that right now.  We'll see.

Got a call from this number and they didn't leave a message. I get these calls all the time, if they're listed here I saved the number as "scam" so it comes up on my caller ID if they call again.

Got a call from this #. Nobody was there and after a bit the line disconnected.

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

Hang up call, no idea what they wanted.

Received a call from 857-232-0172 person began speaking Spanish, wife hung up immediately.  Any ideas where this small came from.

It was a Google call.

They called but didn't leave a message

Got a similar call & message yesterday and tracked it down to Dynamic Recovery trying to settle a 1998 bill amount.  AC #857 is Boston but 317 is not listed in the phone book. They are calling on local exchanges hoping you will pick up the phone. Google listing robo-calls, home security types, quick business loans, cheap life/health insurance rates, better card rates, and scratch tickets give-a-ways are also are using local exchanges.  Most people do not pick up any out of state calls any longer.  
With all this bad weather I am amusing myself by tracking these guys down.  

They left no message.  Another site said it originated from American Samoa.  I bet its a telemarketer.

Called me 2/20/14 but left no message. Another site says this number is a telemarketer. Seems legit.

Received a call from this number.  I let it go to voice mail. No message was left.
