These people will literally not stop calling! Sometimes they call back within ten minutes! We tried getting on the "do not call list" but there is no human to talk to. They never leave messages either. Next time I am going to politely tell them no.

Yes, I received a text  twice on Sat 1/05/13 at 6:23 PM. Verbatim: "Hey sexy mami how you doin" from 1-857-488-6505. It was texted to a cell phone that I don't give out the number to so I'm perplexed as to how they got it.
I googled the number and its out of Boston MA area. I'm in NH. I called the number anonymously at 8:00  AM this morning using Skype but the reponse was that the person did not set up their voice mail and to call back. I will be calling back. I can play this game too :)

Did anyone receive texts from this number?

857-488-3817 has called me twice. I did not answer as I did not know the number.  They did not leave a message.

Here in roseville too, got the same call on my cell phone (at&t). Didnt answer, my caller Id shows it originated from Boston, Ma. My recommendation is not to pick up call you don't recognize....as "bronze" said. If you do, they will continue to call you and since it's your cell phone, you can't block the call with your carrier.

Called at 9p.m. No message.

Received a call from 857.488.3817 saying they represented a nearby travel agency.

Called no message. No ID No Name

they called me and i did not answer. i live in roseville, ca and the lady said they were some travel company here in roseville. she could hardly speak english, then i hung up, they called me a total of 11 times in 20 minutes and then once more an hour later. only one time they left me a voicemail, and that time it was a man saying he thought i called him, so deleted after i heard that. SO THIS number is 100% scam, so my advice is do not answer the call as they may charge your phone through your provider (there are some companies that do that). also elieve they have called me in the past and the same thing occurred some months ago.

They called me, and i have no idea what for. I couldn't understand the lady talking at all but it seemed like BS. In the conversation i heard them say something about me going to Sand Diego, Mexico, or Las Vegas. I think she said something like i won or was accepted ect. and they aren't for money, she asked me my age and that is too far so i hung up. So annoying

Called and said I will get 2 airline tickets for free, I said I am not interested,,,, the woman insisted to explain how good it was!

I will hurt these people if they persist in harrassing me...

Jack***es called and said they were from Viapoint.  Sounded bogus. Told 'em to poind sand up their nose then reported them to Do Not Call.

Didn't pick up.

I also received this call and did not answer because I don't answer numbers I don't know of.  If you don't know me, I don't know you and I keep it that way.  Anyways, my partner and I's cell numbers are in sequence (i.e., 1, 2, 3), so some computer somewhere is calling all these cell phones and if you pick up, they'll have you on a rent list to sell.  Never pick up a call from a number you do not know.  Use caller ID as it was intended and you'll be fine.  If you don't know the number, no need to pick up.  Be careful out there you all.  There's alot of bad people looking to do bad things.  And that call is one of them.

This number called my fiances cell stating they were from Tukwila, WA and that they were giving away airline tickets or hotel stay for their grand opening. Also that both parties involved in receiving the gift needed to be 25 or older, well I'm 24 so we didn't even finish the phone call.

Called my cell phone looking for owner.  I told her it was my cell phone and she apologized.  However, I have dealt with Medallion/Special Olympics for work.  They are legitimate, I just don't know how they got my cell phone number.

Same thing, they just called, claimed they were calling from "Medallion" looking for the business owner.

So irritating.. I know people need to make a living, but seriously? I asked to be taken off of their call-list. Doubt it will happen, but my request was polite.
