I got the same "is anyone jewish" call and was caught so off-guard i just said yes.  glad to hear it's just crazy jews for jesus, not someone sending letter bombs.

Yeah I have recieved that same call but it was a woman saying yada yada about israel reconstruction and all and I said: "I am an Israeli, from Israel, and a Jew... so do you want to go out with me?"

Because honestly that was the weirdest question I have ever heard on the phone. Who asks for heritage? I was LOLing myself for an hour after that.

Oh yeah... the lady politely refused to go out with me :( /shrug

I got a voice message from this number saying that she had to speak with David because she is pregnant ?- did anyone get this type of call?

This little Fascist, named "Enrique", called me because he said he was "investigating Jews in the area".  When I told him I found that offensive, he started pushing me asking if I was a Jew. When I said I was not, he asked "how much Jewish blood" I have.  I told him again this was inappropriate and hung up.  This is a hate crime pure and simple.  I reported him to donotcall.gov and in the comment section reported that it was a hate crime.  What a creep.

I just received the same phone call regarding my heritage and jewish background.....

I got the same call about being jewish and for some reason it didn't register w/me until I hung up that they also had my address so I reported it to the FTC.  I hope they go after whoever this is, very creepy.

got a call today about 7:45 pm i was not home but they  left no message. caller id said Gift Program.. i am not Jewish but i do take offense to anyone asking what my religion or heritage is. if this person calls again i will be giving them a piece of my mind.

I just received a call from 858-367-5420 wanting to know if I was Jewish same BS as some of the rest of you free gift, not selling anything just a survey. There was a shrill sound plus anything I said you could hear in the back ground . Hung up on him without giving him my zip code so he could my free gift. My caller Id showed it as coming from Ranch Santa CA.

I just got a call from this number & there was a shrill sound - almost like a fax machine - so I hung up. Let's lock up this perp.

The caller was asking about my religious background.  It came off like a weird telemarketing call.

I received a call like this today asking about my heritage.  I thought it was an extremely weird question, almost creepy.  My way of dealing with it was 180 degrees different from Andy.  I told them something like, "You cannot call me and ask about my heritage."  I then hung up the phone.

I think it is absurd to start a conversation by saying, "I am not selling anything" and then follow it with, "Are you a Jew?"  As a test, insert, "Black" for "Jew" or "How big is your p***s?"

I got a call like that and had a short conversation with the caller while I looked up Tom Cantor on the internet.  If you read some of what Tom Cantor has written on the Internet, he believes that all Jews will go to hell if they don't accept jesus as their savior.  He likens himself to someone trying to convince his Jewish relatives to leave Nazi Germany in 1939.  So, he's willing to misrepresent the purpose of the call as a "survey" while the real purpose is to find Jews to mail his religious propaganda to.

The best way to deal with a call like this is to have a long conversation with the caller.  You might get them to reconsider what they are doing for a living, but if you don't at least you've wasted some of their time, saving other people from getting bothered.  Have fun with them, see how long you can keep them on the phone.

I received a similar call.  He told me that he was calling for the "Israel Reconstruction Project".  I asked him what that was and he told me a wealthy man named Tom Cantor was doing a survey to find out how many jews were in the area.  I refused to answer him and asked where he got my name and the caller said that he had purchased several large mailing lists.  I looked up this Tom Cantor and it appears that he is a Jew for Jesus.  Has some odd religious concepts.

Didn't pick up either. Still curious as to who it is and how they can call my number that's on two do not call lists.

Received this call a few minutes ago.  Didn't pick up and the caller left no message.

same here... just got a call asking if anyone in my household were jewish.  he tried to verify my address by saying he wanted to send a free gift... i interrupted and said i was heading out... no gift needed.  this call seemed strange, odd, off.

I received the same call asking if ther was anyone of Jewish decent in the household. I felt some thing was wrong too.

I got a call from this number. Someone was pushing a "free DVD." I wish these morons would stop getting our phone numbers and leave us alone.
