I did not pick up, and they did not leave a message.  When I called back, it was a live person from DirecTV.  I do not have service with DirecTV, but I did call to check rates once last week.  However, I am certain I did not give them my name or phone number.  Either they recorded it from a caller ID to follow up, or it's a coincidence.  Lame.

Just called back. Its direct tv. We've already blocked 2 other numbers of theirs. They are just going to keep calling from other numbers. And we have told them to stop calling us. Ridiculous...like that's going to make me want their service?

I keep getting unwanted calls from 858-428-3226.  Cant seem to get them to stop.  They call two or three times a day!  I am on the do not call list.  Please take care this thank you

Called tonight, one minute of blank, no response.  Sounds like a call center for Direct TV.

I called Direct TV and asked why I was being called three times a day by them, and why there was never a person on the other end.

They apologized and removed me from their call list.  

We'll see if that does anything.

I've been getting calls from this number recently, but I wouldn't answer.  I eventually called them back and IT IS DirecTV.

I actually have a direct tv account, currently suspended, and made the mistake of calling them from work. They must have recorded my number via caller id because I have made sure that I only gave them my home number. Just be aware if you need to call one of your services from work, they can get your number there and put it on their solicitor list.

Calls everyday, play a recorded message in a different language. Very annoying.

I called to ask rates ONE time without giving my name. All of a sudden daily messages from this Direct TV phone number. They are very rude taking you off and DEMAND your full name in order to be put on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Surprise surprise!  Still receiving calls on my cell phone during the day.  Asked to be taken off once again.  Let's see what happens

Dish Network Verification - Calling to verify if I recently requested to add service. They have called me 18 times in the last 4 days. 858-428-3226 and 866-668-8047, Same woman named Karen.

They call at least 3 times a day. I have my cell set up now with a contact named "Solicitation calls" I just add any calls from solicitors to the list with a dog bark ringtone. Now when they call I just let the bark go on and on till they hang up. I'm up to a contact "Solicitaion calls3". With about 6 numbers per contact. That how bads it has gotten but now I just dont answer when I here the Barking ringtone

Also getting calls from 858-428-3226, but when I try to call them back the calls just go silent.  Ugh!  858 area code is from San Diego area -- no where near me!

RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THEM FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW. WHEN I TRY TO CALL IT BACK IT'S SILENT - AS SOON AS I ANSWER THE PHONE THOUGH, THEY DISCONNECT.

It's Xmas Eve and i' just rec'd another call from Direct TV.  Thanx for info on how to rid myself and air minutes of this nuiasance.  happy nye yall..........!!

They keep calling

It is direct tv and it is so irritating I will never use them!

1. Block their number - fastest way.

2. Put yourself on the DNC list - takes 30 days and only works if you have had no prior business with them.

3. Send Direct TV a cease and desist letter via certified mail. Keep a copy for yourself. When you get the ticket back saying they got it, you can then report them for harrassment and violating the cease and desist letter. Write down the dates and times they call, and record the call. Tell them they are in violation of your letter, which you have proof that their main branch got, and that you will be contacting the BBB and your lawyer. Tell them if they continue to call you from that point on, you will sue them for harrassment and violating your cease and desist letter. - this method probably takes the longest, but if it is really Direct TV calling, they will stop as soon as you get the letter and if not you can get upwards of $1500 for each call.



You can also get a whistle or an air horn and every time they call, and you get a live person... blow the whistle or horn into your phone.

Anyone know of an efficient and fast legal way to get Direct TV to stop harrassing me with phone calls to sign with them???

Ditto. Same here. Decided not to go with them. Just gave them an @#$%^ earful ten minutes ago about NEVER calling me again. I demanded they remove all of my personal info after deciding not to go with them because of the required two year contract. Obviously that went in one ear and out

I called them a week ago to get a price on Direct TV.  At the time I specifically told them not to contact me, I would call them.  I've been getting calls 3 times a day.  I called this morning to tell them to stop.  The lady was rude, said I gave them the number, yada, yada, yada.  I told her that was why I would now never have Direct TV.  2 hours later, another call.  I answered and she said she was calling to schedule installation!!  When I told her I had called this morning to tell them to stop calling she hung up on me without comment.  Direct TV has lost a possible customer in us.

i get these calls 4 or 5 times a day. they never leave a message and if you try calling it back it cant be called.  i considered direct tv instead of cable but they tried to run a credit check before giving me  a simple price quote or if they even offfer internet in my area.

It's a scam.  I was going to get service through them, then I told them I was going to research their number before I gave out my credit card info over the phone.  Then, they started acting really nervous.  Sounded like 2 guys calling from their living room.  One pretended to get my contact info, then pretended to hand off to his manager (in the same room from the background noise).

I called DirectTV to confirm it wasn't them.  Then, they called me from a different number (it was E-something Marketing) and tried to reassure me that it wasn't a scam.  I told them I reported them, though.

Keep receiving calls from this number. I have always rejected the call because I didn't recognize the number.  When I decided to accept the call to see who keeps bugging me, there was no response on the other end.  I am pretty fed up with it!!!!!!

Same thing happened to me.  I called to get pricing, but they insisted on checking my credit before they would give me a price.  I told them I didn't give that information out unless I was ready to buy.  I told that it was NOT gonna happen.  But they just keep calling.
