I had posted my resume online for employment and then I started receiving calls from this number. After researching the number and company, it's American Life Insurance Company. They are notorious for calling, emailing and bothering people stating that they received an application for employment, liked the resume, etc.
They are very shady. I've blocked their number.

I put in for a lot of jobs in California and they called asking if I could be available for an interview but when I told them I lived in NC they didn't have any more interviews

I also received a call this afternoon from (858) 450-9919, they left a message saying my resume was forwarded to them and they wanted to interview me for a management position. I was suspicious when the number they called from was different from the number they asked me to call back. When I called back, I asked her to email me the job description so I can be well prepared before the interview and when she emailed me, she sent it from a gmail account and no job description just the infromation on where to be for the interview.

Thank you all for your feedback! I recieved this phone call today and did not really understand who they were?
I thought the phone call was not very clear because my kids were around me. I will not go to the interview then
Thanks

received a phone call from 858-450-9919. Someone else picked up. The caller said they were from American Income and saw my resume on monster.com. I called the number back just to be forwarded to a voicemail. Googled it. Saw nothing but "SCAM" reviews on Google and Yelp. This is so discouraging and disappointing.

how annoying, im glad i have a habit of "googling" so I googled the number and this forum came up and I thought of calling back Betsy direct 858.210.3856 while i was in the middle of my work out, so glad I didn't. I wouldve spent my time on a dead end interview job... ha! im glad this forum was here. DO NOT CALL 858.210.3856, IT IS ALSO A SCAM!!!

I received a call from Cindy Surer and Associates to report for an interview at 5703 Oberoin Drive Suite 106, San Diego, CA and when I looked up the address it was a Company called Phantom Technologies. I am glad I looked into this before I showed up for an interview and found it to be a scam!

Received call for interview. "Kari" was name of caller. *858-450-9919 is caller ID, but call back number was different. Supposed name of company is Cindy Surer & Associates. Would not divulge the 'industry' of the company...just dress nice and be on time with current resume. Glad I checked here first!!!

Got a call from a woman named Linda, says she's from AIL, for a manager position. The company is a scam, they want you to be sales agents, do group 'interviews.'

life insurance company based in san diego, just telemarketers don't pick up.

SMA SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! Scum sucking losers that want you to pay them for a job that doesnt exist! Go to the interview with a flame thrower and light em up!
| NeverPayUpFront 2012-07-11 18:51:36 Unknown |
You're right, DISGUSTED, never pay up front. Any reputable company will make money off their commissions and fees. Companies that charge up front are all variations of a multilevel scam or Ponzi scheme.
| disgusted 2012-03-14 23:49:45 Unknown |
It is a scam. They data mine employment sites and call under the guise of hiring for a human resource position but instead try to convince you to pay upfront for "training". BEWARE!

Called on nov 25 in the early afternoon. Does not leave message - phone ID says American Income.
